Today marks my sixth month living in Salisbury. I can't believe the time is flying by as quickly as it is. The election is now that much closer and we're now over the hump, so to speak.
The goal from this day forward is to encourage every single city resident to step up to the plate and get out there and VOTE.
Look, if you've been happy with the way things have been going for the past 16 years, by all means, vote for Jim Ireton.
If you are tired of the back and forth bickering, threats of tax increases, presentations of subsidized housing Downtown, no jobs and the loss of property values you'll cast your vote for me.
We've got a LOT of work to do in a very short period of time. I'm only going to do this once Ladies & Gentlemen. If you want to learn more about what I plan on doing for Salisbury, invite me to your community gatherings. Invite me to your club meetings.
One thing you can be sure of, you won't fall asleep during my presentation. You won't be fed lines of BS, like you'll be swimming in the river in 10 years. Like anyone will ever trust the water would be that clean anyway. Heck, look at the BILLIONS spent on the Chesapeake Bay and after 30 years it still gets a failing grade each and every year.
I look forward to hearing from you. alberobutzo@wmconnect.com or 410-430-5349.
The majority of the ones who care about who is Mayor or the progress of the city are the tax payers. A goodly number of the tax payers do not live in Salisbury so are ineligible to vote.
ReplyDeleteLook at the numbers - eligible to vote who actually bothered to go vote in the pass city elections. That speaks volumes and basically says "who cares".
I hope your speaking engagements are informative on what and how you will improve our city. I am not interested in trashing of the other Mayor candidates, departments, department heads and some council members as I read on your blog.
I hope you have done your homework as to what you as Mayor can do and not go to the job thinking you can make any changes YOU want, immediately. I hope you are running for the betterment of Salisbury because from your blog I get the impression you only wish to settle old grudges.
anonymous 9:57, I can assure you, I have a message. What you'll hear from me is NOT your typical political message. What I will deliver is the TRUTH. One thing I can absolutely assure each and every one of you of is, my platform can and will be done.
ReplyDeleteNone of that I'll clean the river in 10 years so you can swim in it crap.
However 9:57, I'll not express it here on Salisbury News. I'll do so in person at these meetings. You'll just have to attend to see what's coming to Salisbury.
Now, as far as voters are concerned, I disagree with you. In fact, I'd say your power of suggestion is just that, suggestion. I think your scared to death that Salisbury News readers will finally stand up against the good old boys and get out there and vote. Why, because they finally have someone they can trust and that has NOT been the case for more some 16 years now.
Your people are scrambling trying to figure out how Joe Albero can be beat. You can't beat me and I'll prove that in April. This is why your people are desperately trying to see if I'll be disqualified based on a residence issue. Guess what, you'll fail. I actually welcome that challenge with open arms. You see, when you tell the truth and do what is right, you win. Just ask Barrie Tilghman, Chief Webster and Jim Ireton.
You might call it bashing but I call it the TRUTH. We expose the truth and the voters will decide.
Now YOU may not be interested in my bashing department heads or the Mayor but let me assure you of one thing, you ONLY say that because your afraid of what I might say, (the truth). I will expose anything I want. Ireton will have to defend himself, just as I'm sure I will have to do from Ireton.
As for your final paragraph, you obviously don't know me very well. If there's ANY ONE who knows what the Mayor's job actually is, it's me. Tilghman and Ireton both screwed up that title and I'm going to fix it.
Your apartment is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA goodly number of the tax payers do not live in Salisbury so are ineligible to vote.
ReplyDeleteWhat?! lol
I am 9:57 and you are reading me wrong. I have heard some of your plans (though not from you) and I will be attending speaking engagements and or debates. I like what I have heard and will offer my full support to you as Mayor if you want to make Salisbury a better place.
ReplyDeleteWhat I was trying to get across is the fact all I see is the "trashing" of others and I feel that is not the way to get elected. I will wait to see if you plan to win by defaming everyone running against you or if you will be gung-ho selling your visions and how to accomplish them.
Much luck in your campaign and I truly hope you can get all the eligible voters out voting in April. Believe me when I say I am not scared you will win nor am I trying to beat you.
For this election ONLY I wish I lived in Salisbury. I live in Delaware and am happy there, for the most part.
ReplyDeleteYeh ,it's good to have someone with a set of grapes to lead this city.
ReplyDeleteSure wish Erick had of been open , need my haircut. I'll be first in line tuesday.
Anonymous 11.04 - I agree there are a lot of business owners who paid taxes - incredible taxes, but do not live in the city - I wish we had a vote!
ReplyDeleteanonymous 12:33, thank you. Forgive me if I was too defensive but if you read your comment I'm sure you can understand my position.
ReplyDeleteLet me assure you, I have some incredible ideas to move Salisbury forward. I have shared them with several people in high places and they love my ideas. NO ONE gets hurt from them and ultimately the taxpayers get rewarded financially. Please do attend these events. I'm confident you'll walk away feeling pretty darned good about Salisbury's future.
Cool rocking horse and I love your Delmar throw cover.

ReplyDeleteYou act like you are new here as you seem uninformed about what Joe is all about.
Matter of fact, you must be new if you think Joe is the one trashing people.
I'm in Worcester but I would vote for Joe if I could. I think this blog has been a valuable insight for Joe (and us readers) to get a true feel for what is going on in Salisbury, people's feelings, goals and a host of other ideas that only come out in an anon setting.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that Joe developed this blog idea at a time when most never heard the word shows me that Joe has a visonary "gene" going on.
Sby News has been and is a success no matter what the naysayers claim.
You Nephew and I were drinking the other night. He said and I have it on my iPhone you don't live there! He does. So someone is lying and I think it's you!
ReplyDeleteSo today I called the city. And you don't have a rental licence. So I showed them the video. Your a liar. And you have been caught.
anonymous 3:12, You sound exactly like the overly obsessed John Robinson. In fact, I'm pretty confident I'm right, but it's whatever. My nephew, eh? That's a good one. I know, why don't you run to the Police and report what he said. Oh, that's right, that won't work, would it. Hmmmm, John, get a life, seriously.
ReplyDeleteIs John going to put the video on You Tube like the time he claims you punched him in the face.
ReplyDelete3:12 You crack me up!
ReplyDeleteJoe I just Love your response!
4:13 You are SO RIGHT!
You Nephew and I were drinking the other night.
ReplyDeleteWell that pretty much sums up your credibility. None.
So today I called the city. And you don't have a rental licence.
What would Joe need a rental LICENSE for? He owns the building. He is living in the building.
I am from the eastern shore and I suspect you are too.
But you know, sometimes some people need to be still and quiet lest they make themselves and others look stupid.
This is one of those times. Please be quiet.
anonymous 4:44, I was going to say that but figured someone smart would chime in and realize I own the building.
ReplyDeleteI have personally invited Code & Compliance into my building several times. We have walked through the entire building and they are more than confident I not only live here but I've been living here for quite some time.
Now, that being said, if Mr. Robinson actually looked up the case law on residency he would have already learned that I don't even have to live here full time, (like I do) to be a resident or qualify to run for Mayor.
You have to be pretty stupid to think making the comments and statements I have in text messages from Mr. Robinson would make me bow out of running.
Yes Ladies & Gentlemen, Mr. Robinson claims he has pictures and video proving I do not live here. So he allegedly has people illegally taking video into my windows proving I'm not there. Kind of like the video he claimed he had of me punching him in the face that he was going to put up on YouTube that NEVER went up, because it too was a complete lie.
I have numerous neighbors that will testify in court that I do in fact live here. They will testify to the fact that they see me nightly and daily. In fact, guess what. My Grandson is off school today. Guess who dropped him off THIS MORNING on her way to work. That's right, I live here full time Sunday night through Thursday night. I leave at 4 PM on Friday to go back to visit my Family.
So let them peck away all they want, they'll lose and they know it. Is that all Jim Ireton has to stop me from running? They'll have to do much better than that.
anonymous 4:44, I was going to say that but figured someone smart would chime in and realize I own the building.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, thank you very much. :)
Even if JT or anyone else was that stupid to go to court over residency(?), it would get thrown out of court. Much like all the other 'charges' you have faced.
Crap like that is funny now and then but it's sad at the same time. And that's on my end. I'm not affected like you are with this drivel so maybe you don't even pay it any mind any longer.
No offense to anyone but I'm wondering if 'they' have homosexual tendencies being they are so obsessed with your every move and deed.
I just hope for your sake and that of your families that it doesn't progress further than being a nuisance.
It's pretty obvious they have mental issues. And now they are recording you on video? lol. omg.
anonymous 5:08, here's a chalenge for Mr. Robinson. Why doesn't he call this "nephew" and ask him to unlock the door downstairs. Then have him come upstairs and unlock ANY of theapartment doors.
ReplyDeleteOh, that can't be done though and that's why they don't have video or pictures of that either.
So you know, Robinson is now on record with the Police Department for his text messages stating he has video of my apartment.
Tick Tock
Oh, believe me, there's MUCH more on the way too.
