These days, “mom” is king. It was perhaps the most frequently used
word at the Republican National Convention this past week, where Ann Romney, mother of five, said, “It’s the moms of this nation . . . who really hold this country together.” Paul Ryan said his mother is his role model, and Chris Christie all but called himself a mama’s boy.
Republicans’ efforts to woo women have become fever-pitch pandering as the party tries to undo damage from comments such as Rep. Todd Akin’s remark
that a “legitimate” rape victim can’t get pregnant and Pennsylvania
Gov. Tom Corbett’s advice to women who object to invasive ultrasounds
before an abortion: “You just have to close your eyes.”

ReplyDeleteLook at Jennifer Foxwell.
I don't believe so some women are cold hearted and don't know how to nurture.
ReplyDeleteOMG Joe. 11:38am Said it all.
ReplyDeletethere are a minority of women who should NOT be mothers because they either don't have the natural nurturing instinct, spirit and skills or they have made bad choices and are addicted to alcohol and drugs and don't care.
ReplyDeletemost women do want to be a mother and are good mothers. remember; the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. mothers are the glue that holds everything together. we are, for the most part, nurturers.
3:02 pm,
ReplyDeleteI am truly offended by your statement. I see more white mothers in the streets prostituting. I see more white mothers on drugs/alcohol. I see more white mothers on welfare. And, I've seen more white moms crying about the welfare of their children while they sit in jail.
Now, it sounds to me that Mothers overall need a lesson on nuturing their children. There are a lot of bad mothers out there. One thing I do know, there are a lot of great mothers, grandmothers, aunts and sisters who have nuture children the way children need to be nuture. And, I know a lot of black mothers, grandmothers, aunts and sister who nuture you're children. You better ask someone about the truth.
