Old Station 16 Not Suitable Right Now For Occupancy
A report recently conducted has come back stating the building is not suitable for occupancy in its current condition.
We are awaiting the formal findings, (yeah, right, it's up to the Mayor) and once they are released we'll deliver the formal findings at that point. One thing is for sure, even though you're hearing about it here first, you can expect exclusive information in the local newspapers before you'll get it here. We ALL know how it works these days with the Mayor and his close friends who make alleged spoof phone calls.
We do know there's asbestos and exposed wiring, unfit under the current code. There seems to be a long list of hazards. The City did the inspection to help Council decide what needs to be done.
you are a crying little loser
ReplyDeleteGee, can you guess what paper that comment came from.
ReplyDeleteWhen it rained years ago no on let the water out of the basement. So now it is moldy. They have let this building go to nothing. So NOW we can give it away or sell for nothing.
ReplyDeleteThe mayor still acts like a hateful 5th grader.
Sucks to be you Albero. You lose again. You are and always will be a loser.
ReplyDeleteLMAO, Uh Oh, looks like we busted their exclusive plot. Jim should be more careful with trash.
ReplyDeleteTypical Sarah style. She and Robinson are two of a kind.
ReplyDeleteCity inspectors can make it what they want it to be. Happens all the time
ReplyDeleteJoe I am hearing that guy that wrecked a fire truck a couple of years ago while driving to fast to a fire in Fruitland. He wrecked it the other day driving to a fire in Hebron and damaged one of the Hebron fire trucks. You had pictures of the Fruitland incident. Poor leadership continues in the Salibury Fire Department.
ReplyDeleteThey have a nice fireboat to live in while this is being rehabbed!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteNo maintained the city property. Whos fault is that. Who takes care of the city property NO ONE it was left up to somebody else..and somebody is slacking. The city people whos job is to maintain the property needs to go over there and maintain it.
Joe I guess YOU need to go over there and start the job so the remainder of them can follow....
Nice job on the grass and bushes.
Looks like someone lives here.
Condemn it! I'll give you a hundred bucks for it!
ReplyDeleteMost of you would not even consider a job as a career Firefighter. You have no idea the experiences these folks experience.
ReplyDeleteCry me a river 312
ReplyDeleteANON.12:28/ANON:2:38pm Joe has the balls to stand up and sign his name.DO YOU ????
ReplyDeleteShe doesn't have a set.
ReplyDeleteShe probably has quite a big set. :-0
ReplyDeleteF/F records ran into hebrons fire truck while acting like a fool with no regard to safety, it was well into the incident and was moving the truck from a staged position, completely preventable. If the first engine from Salisbury was able to perform and not had a mechanical failure ,maybe they would have at least damaged their own stuff.....lmao idiots

And why is this guy still driving and destroying city property? Oh that's right Rick Hoppes is the fire chief and Jim Ireton is the Mayor.

Seriously? How do you risk your life daily?
Since there was a slug-fest regarding the old firehouse downtown, I wonder if word didn't come down from the mountain to let the building fall into disrepair so it becomes useless and will serve the mayor's agenda? That way no one will buy it and upsurp the mayor. There had been several different offers to do something constructive with this building.
ReplyDeleteIf this had been a private home, the housing/code people would have been crawling all over this for a private taxpayer, yet they turned their heads at this building. They are all underhanded and just plain crooked.
5:33, I think you are right about all of this serving the mayor's agenda. He will do anything to make the council look bad. I read in the Daily Times (I know, I know) that he said he would not consider to put The Bricks building up for sale until he gets a new council. That is just spite, not the good of the town.
ReplyDeleteThat whole on-again off-again thing with the developer and UMES was a big fat mess. The council did the right thing not putting up with that.

Jim Ireton works for the BOE. Doesn't the BOE let the school buildings fall in disrepair?
It is a firehouse and it needs to stay a firehouse with a fire engine and an ambulance. If anything take those 12 new people they plan to hire and house an ambulance there full time around the clock. Two paramedics times 4 shifts comes to 8 and the 4 extra will be for overtime use. The need is for personnel to staff the ambulance full time anyway. Problem solved.
ReplyDeleteSince when do they enforce codes , except for Joe Albero property.
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha! John you lose.
ReplyDeleteWell, you last 2 posters have the clinch here! All I can say is UH! Pretty clear picture here.
ReplyDeleteCode enforcement in Salisbury is selective at best. My neighbors sofa has been in the back yard for over a year so why should a piece of property worth more than my house/neighborhood be any different?
ReplyDeleteMunicipal, County, State and Government property is typically never required to follow the "code." This building is owned by the city and has never changed ownership, therefore the code that was established when the building was built is the code that is to be enforced.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing the city could do is separate the firefighters from the EMS staff.

ReplyDeleteI would fire people like you. One, your attitude sucks. Two, you write like a 5th grader. Third, you're delusional.
There are no "firefighters". They are all the same. Firefighters and ems as one
ReplyDelete6:000am. No i do not and but I have respect for those who do. Ur mother should be ashamed
