Look Who's Behind 'Voter ID Is Racist' Campaign

TAMPA, Fla. – A radical group funded by billionaire George Soros that has a history of biased research is primarily behind a national campaign to paint voter ID laws as racist.

The voter ID data collected by the group, the Brennan Center for Justice, has been called into question by experts and has been contradicted by other credible studies. Yet the center’s information is cited widely by news media and even members of the Obama administration

Besides receiving a reported $7.4 million from Soros’ Open Society Institute since 2000, the Brennan Center was also the recipient of grants from the Joyce Foundation from 2000 to 2003. President Obama served on the Joyce board from 1994 through 2002.

  2. Just when we thought everything in the whole wide world that could be called racist, there's another. Let's just settle it all right now. NOW EVERYBODY HEAR THIS," EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD IS RACIST! THINGS, PEOPLE, ANIMALS, PLANTS, DIRT, CARS, HOUSES...EVERYTHING!"
There, I did it. Now will all these bozos shut the hell up and go home?
    Racist bastions!

  5. Lack of credible data flows both ways. In the recent PA court case challenging Pennsylvania's new voter ID law (arguably one of the strictest in the nation), the PA attorney general could not cite one, not one, documented case of voter fraud or illegal voting in PA to support the merits of this new law. The law was upheld, but certainly not on the merits of the reason for it's existence. Wake up. This really is voter suppression pure and simple.

  10. IIRC, last election cycle Philly had more registered voters than residents over 18; draw your own conclusions.

If providing proper ID in order to vote is 'racist', then certainly requiring ID to purchase cigarettes or alcohol, board an airplane, or to cash a check, etc. is even more racist since those transactions occur on a far more frequent basis.

Most states provide a state issued ID free or at nominal cost to enable all of the above transactions.

Completely bogus argument; only objection could come from a dead person seeking to register or someone legally prohibited from voting (felon, non-citizen or under age).

  11. let's see now: soros = evil, deceptive, underhanded, crooked, filled with lies, extremely biased, hates the jews and and israel, and would like to see our nation fail so we would then fall under the "one world government and financial system".

koch brothers = successful business men who believe in our constitution, our way of governance represented by "we the people", a good work ethic, morals and good character, solid family values and solid core beliefs. not hand outs but hand up. teaching people to fish for life, not giving people fish for a day.

    i report - you decide.

  12. I'm all for voters showing ID's to vote, however, a bunch of you are forgetting something.
Fake ID's are made and distributed every day! So what good is it really going to do?
Even some of the illegal aliens have fake ID's!
It's an argument over nothing, really. It's not the solution. I'm not sure what the solution is, but ID presentation is not it, IMO.
