The trial for an Army psychiatrist charged in the deadly 2009 Fort Hood shooting has been put on hold while an appeals court considers his objections to being forcibly shaved.
Maj. Nidal Hasan had been scheduled to enter a plea Wednesday to charges in the attack at the Texas Army post, but all court proceedings were put on hold before he could do that.
According to a defense motion, Hasan indicated he wanted to plead guilty for religious reasons. Hasan, 41, is an American-born Muslim.
When he joined the Army, he gave up his right for the "beard". Doesn't the army have rules about beards? I thought all the enlisted men had to look alike.
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with the judge? I think he effectively gave up his right when he killed all those innocent soldiers.
Can someone explain to me what this means
ReplyDeleteBut the judge, Col. Gregory Gross, said he could not accept a guilty plea on the 13 charges of premeditated murder. That‘s because the charges carry death as the maximum punishment and the government is pursuing the death penalty in Hasan’s case. Hasan also is charged with 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder.
Why can't they accept a guilty plea? Im so confused.
Give the SOB a Brazilian facial and get it over with..He is military property.
ReplyDeleteSimple. Just shoot the SOB.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to O'bama/Holder's government.; if it were anyone else they would be dead by now.
ReplyDeletecause Obama is taking care of his Muslim Bro.

ReplyDeleteFind him Guilty with a beard also.
So, shave him!
ReplyDeletethe beard has nothing to do with innocence or guilt. just get on with it & be done. so what if he gets death penalty?
ReplyDeleteif anyone reserves it. it's him!
so let me get this right, I can commit any crime and as long as I grow a beard the government can't convict me while wearing said beard? Is that right? Interesting, I'll have to remember this just in case I decide to go off the deep end!
ReplyDeleteJust remove his head from his shoulders and that will solve the problem with the beard.
ReplyDeleteThis POS is looking more like the radical extremist he admits to being!
ReplyDeleteThe executed Eddie Slovik a lot faster - for refusing to kill anyone!
We have certainly got this Bass-Ackwards.
