Anyone whom has worked anywhere for a period of time has heard rumors and talk about something, now if you believe it is a different story. Most people will quietly observe the situation and then make a judgment based on what the observed and heard. How could anyone working there not think it a little bizarre that a doctor would have “Weekend Long” treatments for ear infections? How about those one on one trips to the “Toy and Prize” building? Yes, they knew, but they also had a good job and didn’t want to lose it.
Obviously I brought this topic to light because I too feel "some" others had to perhaps know something. Yet we've not heard a word about any one else being charged.
Yes they did know how could you have not known. Its like when the secretary has a affair with the boss everyone knows they were in denial I guess thats is what is wrong with the world people are aware of bad situations but do not say anything and pull out the denial card. Its Sad!!!
The staff had to have known. I almost said "suspected", but with the numbers, time and bizarre behavior, not to mention the physical abuse evidence, they had to do more than suspect. It would be interesting to see how many staff members quit or were fired over the period.
Not only did they HAVE to have at least some pretty strong suspicions, I'm wondering what the parents were thinking...take my kid to a separate building and insist on being alone? HUNDREDS of times, with who knows how many kids....and I suppose he told his staff NOT to interrupt him, or come into THAT building when he was alone with the kids? Windows blocked, doors locked. No one thought "WTF?" Huh?
I took my son to Dr. Bradley one time a long time ago. It seems funny that there's been mention of the seperate buildings (which I don't believe were there back then) but there's been no mention of the little movie theatre he also had in the main building. That alone struck me as VERY odd when we were there. I walked in there to check it out and it was a very dark room! I have never left my son alone with ANY doctor and never would so I know nothing happened to him, thank God. I'm still waiting on the lawsuit to be filed against the State of Delaware because the reason we were there is that is where we HAD to take him to see a doctor under the children's insurance program through the state! Once the class action suit is filed against the state, I definitely WILL participate because the STATE put my child in danger! Apparently knowingly! Plain and simple!
anyone who DOESN'T believe that the employees had some idea that things weren't on the "up & up" has lost their mind! That being said, perhaps they didn't know the nightmare-ish extent to which things were wrong, but unless they were blind & deaf they knew something was not cool.
i've often thought about this too, Joe. Thanks for bringing it up.
My question has always been, WHY WOULD A PARENT NOT PICK UP ON HIS WEIRDNESS!!!!!!!!! And more importantly, why would ANY parent let a doctor take a child into another room without the parent being present??!? The parents of these innocent victims are just as much to blame as the employees.
Absolutely I believe they had to know something was wrong. Just like any other office, you know when something is not on the up and up.

ReplyDeleteYES and they should held accountable. Everyone else who had any idea what was happening should be held accountable also.

Yes they knew. My daughter was born in 2000, and when i was looking into a dr close to my job in Bethany everyone told me to stay clear of him!!
ReplyDeleteone of his colleagues referred to him as "the pediphile" so yes i believe that others were at the very least suspicious if not fully aware.
