Route 50 has been shut down in BOTH directions. A vehicle struck a telephone poll that stretched wires completely across Rt. 50. Rt. 50 has been indefinitely been shut down at Athel Rd. and Rt. 54 in Mardela. Power crews are now on the scene.

UPDATE: Rt. 50 is still completely closed down at 9:42 PM. I have been informed that they expect it to remain closed for another hour, or so. Also, the traffic from pork in the Park is just unbelievable. They a redirecting everyone around this area.

Traffic in both direction is being divert along Old Railroad and Delmar Road.

He probebly meant the vendors going to PITP to set up. I saw several of them on 50 also.
