County Health Department To Become Tobacco-Free

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — The Carroll County Health Department campus is getting ready to go tobacco free.

The department will ban smoke and smokeless tobacco on its property, including in personal vehicles, on April 20. A committee made up of smokers and nonsmokers worked on the issue.

The policy is intended to promote and protect the health of the clients and workers.

  1. Could anyone explain how banning smoking in YOUR PERSONAL VEHICLE is protecting the health of other co-workers? I think, and I could be wrong, that we have becomed trained and indoctrinated into beleiving that we, as a people, have the right and obligation to interfere in other peoples private affairs and business in order to have then lead the kind of life we, as a people, think they should. Forget about "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", unless of course , I AGREE with how you do it. I don't even smoke and I think they are a bunch of whack "I know whats best for YOU", holier-than-thou prima donnas. Here's an idea -- they'll quit smoking if you'll stop stuffing your fat ace with food every 20 minutes. YOUR big fat butt and triple chin is a LOT more offensive than anyone smoking a cigarette in their car. Stay out of other people's lives. It ain't your concern.
