Clinton: No Interest In Job If Obama Wins In 2012

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said she does not want to stay in her job if President Barack Obama wins a second term in 2012.

The top U.S. diplomat also firmly said Wednesday she neither has plans to mount another White House bid nor interest in other posts, such as vice president or defense secretary.

Clinton, visiting Cairo, was asked whether she would stay on in a second Obama term. She also was asked if she would like the jobs of president, vice president or defense secretary. She offered single word responses to each:
"No."

Speculation about Clinton's future is always high and she has been mentioned as a possible successor to Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who has told Obama he is stepping down. In an interview with CNN television, Clinton made clear she has no interest in running the Pentagon or repeating her 2008 presidential run.

  1. But that doesn't rule out her running against him, does it?

  3. In the post and the link to the original article, it clearly states she will NOT run for President again. Apparently 10:25 Anon didn't take the time to read it.

  4. I think she realizes that it will be someone other than Obama taking over in 2012. She's a liberal, not a sea captain and the ship has already begun to leak.

  5. She'll still go down as one of the worst Secretary of State's in our history. But that's what you get when you hire someone with no experience at foreign relations, outside of being the "First Lady" and a junior senator. It was a joke to put her in such a demanding and important position. Just another flub by this administration.

  6. 2:57 - Why do you make such a statement? Back it up with some proof please.

  7. amen 3:21, however the right does not require proof. If they scream things loud enough, shut their eyes and wish, then it becomes true.

Also, name me one Secretary of State who served an entire two year presidential administration. Also, if Obama wins again, his entire cabinet will probably be replaced over time, just like every other two term president ever.

    No big deal.

  8. Oops. In the post above, I meant "two-term" presidential administration, not "two year."

    My apologies for the error.

Try it. It really works. Of course, you many not have meant what you wrote. That happens to a lot of people on the Left.

  12. Mrs 8:58, Mrs 4:26, and Mrs. 4:05: (I am assuming you are women because, since you dont use your real name, I have to go with my gut.)

I am sorry that you cannot debate anything without getting personally offended, without showing your disdain for history and sensibility, and without exposing your blatant homophobia.

Maybe if your side of the aisle actually nominated people for President who could, 1. win, and 2. not be so evil, maybe you would not have to complain about how the majoirty of Americans disagreed with you.

We survived Bush, you will survive Obama.

    Goodnight, ladies.
