Excellent work with the shooting. SPD should reconsider it's policy for dealing with shoplifters. Way too much time is wasted handling these cases, when there is more serious crimes going on. Other jurisdictions get info on the suspect give it to the store manager/security guards and send them to the commissioner. Saves several hours on the arrest, plus time and money for the officer to go to court.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about?
ReplyDeletethey do that, HOWEVER, you can't do that if they are out of state resident, don't have ID on them, felony theft or have failure to appears on their record. Even if they do refer to the commissioner, they still have to write a report on it, why not, then spend a little extra time, take them to jail right then and there so they are not out to shoplift again the same day!
ReplyDeleteHey isnt this the kid thats supposed to be an "honor student".How does he find time for homework between driveby shootings?Or do you just have to show up everyday at Wicomico High School to be on honor roll.I keep hearing about gangs at these schools everyday, but no one will do anythign about it because they are afraid to step on someones toes.
