Jennifer Foxwell States On The Record She Knew Absolutely Nothing About Saturday's Event

In a phone call tonight, I spoke with Jennifer Foxwell who stated flat out, she had no idea this event was happening until tonight. Several people contacted her after reading about it here on Salisbury News.

Now, that being said, who endorsed this event? From every Family Member I have spoken to, not one of them said they supported this event in any way, shape or form. Jennifer also mentioned to me that she spoke to someone at SARAH'S House and they didn't know about the event either.

To publish and promote such an event with Sarah's photo and the group running the event claimed they got permission from the Family to use the photo, who was it?

I'd like each and every one of you to consider what I'm about to say. Sarah's siblings will have an extremely difficult Holiday. The idea that this event is this close to Christmas, did anyone consider perhaps holding such an event to help her siblings. The Aunt is raising the children and quite frankly you have to realize she is not a wealthy woman.

If ANYONE deserves one heck of a Holiday this year, these kids deserve it. As for the April Bike Rally, that's a beautiful thing. I just think the timing for THIS event is wrong and that's just my personal opinion.

The Family Member who wrote to me with their original message wished each and every one of you a Happy Holiday Season. They asked for nothing, yet wished each and every one of you the very best. Perhaps we can all adopt these children this Christmas and make things right. Just food for thought. It feels better than beer.

  3. So Jennifer, when did you remove your name off the list of attendees? Before or after you contacted Joe? Hmmmmm makes me wonder.

  4. Teri, I believe Jennifer was talking about the April Bike Rally event, not Saturday's event. In fact, to the other person who tried to send a Facebook link, YOU need to look further at that "EVENT" on her Facebook, it also shows April, NOT December.

  5. TeriLyn Darby The money raised goes towards the BIG event 04/16/2011, The 2nd Annual Memorial Ride which benefits the scholarship(s) set up at SU and a PORTION of the proceeds will go to The Child Advocacy Center. There will be FAMILY EVENTS set up also. We are working on a FAMILY FUN DAY @ Jolly Rogers. We are trying to have events to include all. Not just bikers. Aprils event will include Hot Rods. I am sorry if the family is hurt by this. It was NEVER our intentions. Family members have contacted me...Thanked me for what we are doing. NOT ONCE has either family member said they do not want us to do this. The future events fliers will be different to respect the family. This event and the future events coming up are going to help less fortunate students in our community. Someone that wants to work with children and HELP be the voice of the children. Again I apologizes on behalf of the events organizer if anyone is offended by what we are doing. Just look at the big picture of what we are doing, is all I ask. And know that we as part of the community are just trying to do something good.

Hello --- This comment was found on WMDT facebook page. Teri in your on words you stated that the money from this event is NOT going anywhere but to fund thew next event.

  6. It's unfortunate, (other than Temmy) that many of you are coming on here attempting to attack Jennifer Foxwell and have stated NOTHING about participating in doing something for Sarah's siblings. Disgusting!

  7. No one is trying to hurt this family..NO ONE HAS FALSE INTENTION.. I understand what you are saying about the flier and I am sorry. I SWEAR to ALL that future event fliers will be handled different. We made a mistake, we can not change it but we can make sure it does not happen again...WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO DO? Instead of making a bigger issue out of this why not try to talk to me or one of the event organizers to see how we can do this different? You can get my number from Jennifer...she has it.

Joe, I was CONTACTED after Thanksgiving by the sibling. AND it was explained about ALL the events and what we were doing.

Again NO ONE is trying to do anything bad here..We as the organizing group of people are just trying to give back to the community that was out there on Christmas DAY. I stood in the stadium and my heart went out to everyone not just the family but the little children that were there wanting to help. That gave up opening their Christmas gifts to help. I am truly sorry that this has been turned into something so bad. We will still be having the event(s) but we will change up the "Wording" on them.

  8. anonymous 10:38, First of all, why haven't YOU tried to contact me? My name is on every comment I make and my telephone number is at the top of my home page along with my e-mail address.

Something tells me the fact that YOU have made no attempt to contact me is just unreal. Also, WHO ARE YOU? You did not sign your name. What are you so afraid of?

    I think it speaks volume.

  9. Joe it is hard for many to believe anything Jennifer says. She has lied, cheated, and failed her children. That is the reality that people see. The children, all including Sarah, are the ones that are the victims of every bit of this starting years before the majority even knew who they were.
Not Jennifer, the organizers of the events, you, me or any one matters but those kids. I kid you not I literally cannot afford Christmas this year but my family would give toys and clothing to those children if it would bring a smile to their faces. We will do it because it is what is right to do by those children. It is obvious their lives have never been ideal and then to lose the sister that they loved and looked up to is not fair. Since day one Sarah and her siblings have been the main victims and the surviving children deserve to know there are people that care.

  10. @10:27 All the profits GO TO THE SCHOLARSHIP(S)and which the check is awarded to SU AFTER THE APRIL EVENT. Yes pins will be purchased and t-shirts..BUT those same items are sold and the money goes BACK to the scholarship funds. Those same items will sell and EARN 3x's the amount of money to go back into the scholarship funds.

  11. There Joe is that better. I signed up for you sight. No one is trying to hide from anything.

  12. Ok Joe, I agree with helping the siblings with Christmas your right the kids do deserve a good christmas. But you yourself attacted Jennifer,In the very first post and then you post a picture like that come on.I am close to a source who is close to the Aunt and im sure she is struggling and shes doing what she can with what she has.I just don't think that in no way shape or form that the Bikers in this community should be attacted the way they have been.I honestly don't think there was any harm meant.I am a Lady Rider and I have Grandchildren, my heart goes out to those Children. So have Tammy put a list together post it.Who is she by the way if you don't mind me asking. Do you except or will you except Gifts from the Bikers? If its not to late after the way they've been slammed.I can asure you i will get in on the gift giving for these children. But Let us have our event without alot of controvesy to help other children and students that are less fortunate as well.

  13. I dont understand how the family can get over any of this. It seems like every two weeks someone is putting a comment about the whole incident. Let her RIP....everyone knows how tragic that day was.

    totally agree, well said!

But I might add, I am so tired of the mom playing the victim, she is/was not!

  15. What a screwed up mess! The timing is very wrong here. What don't these organizers understand. Its plain and simple, the family wants to be left alone, find some other cause.

  16. Regardless of who did or did not give permission, it doesn't matter at this point. Obviously this event will go forward as planned and they will raise money. They will donate money as they had planned to as well. Just be aware for future reference for anyone planning on any type of event be sure that you do indeed have the proper authorization from the proper individual. Just because they are having a rock band, holding it at the VFW and on a Saturday night doesn't make it an inappropriate event either. One could certainly argue the point that just because it's being held there, doesn't mean you have to drink alcohol when you go either. If you don't feel comfortable going to the event, then personally donate money directly to Sarah's House in Sarah's memory. Certainly those of you wishing to help Sarah's siblings could obviously email Joe with what you have and he could either forward it to the family or put you in touch with their aunt. As for the biker rally in April, I assume it is being held during the day. Where will they be meeting once the ride is beginning or ending? If it is going to be at the Oasis, they certainly sell alcohol. Just food for thought. I know that it is close to Christmas and we all will be thinking of Sarah particularly this year. I pray for her siblings. Can we all just agree that for the future to dot your "i"s and cross your "t"s a little better. That way no one has hurt feelings or casts a bad shadow over someone trying to raise money for a charity.

  17. I also agree with 7:29 AM.

Jennifer is not a victim...in actually and the chain of events she should hide her face in shame.

Contimue with the Christmas for the children...you will find many people who will support that. Melody K

  18. I'm a Lady rider. And I don't drink beer are anything else. All bikers don't drink.I will be at the party not to party but to show my support.Joe you may ride a bike but you will never be a biker.Because if you were you would know that bikers do a lot of good things. Our biker group goes to the nursing home also does a lot of things for Vets. It's not about beer.

  19. JOE,
Why is the Aunt responsible for the other kids Christmas?
My wife and I have to bust our butts to see our Grandchildren can have Christmas. Sarah's mother needs to do this if she has to work two jobs. Hundreds of people in this area are having to do this now.
I am a biker also. We have rode in rides to get Toys for Tot's to make sure kids have Christmas. We also have helped numerous vets get help.
I don't think you or most of these people that have made negative comments have any ideal what bikers and biker groups do for this community.

  20. Terry Darby nice picture. I don't believe anything you would say.

You are another one who wants to receive all she can while stepping on others.

  21. I completely agree with 7:29!! Put all the efforts and attention on the children and the AUNT that is raising them. People are getting tired of hearing about the mother that doesn't even take care of her own children. RIP Sarah and I will always pray for the entire family, but most especially the children and the Aunt.

you don't know anything about me.I have helped in many fund raisers for children and Vets.Wouldn't want you as a biker anyway.

  25. Without pointing fingers there were faults made by many people. That goes without saying because there is a child who's life was cut way too short. Right now let's STOP fighting over who is right or wrong we all have our opinions and focus on the kids. Joe and some of the others are right, they are the ones that are suffering the most and they are the ones that deserve a bit of joy on a day meant for celebration and happiness that will forever have horrible memories linked to it for them.

Adults make their own choices, the children have no choice and they should not be the ones suffering because of what any adult did, does, or says.

No I don't know anything about you, nor do I wish too.

By the same token, you don't know anything about me or Joe either. But that didn't stop you from expressing your unqualified opinion did it?

    How does it feel?

  27. Some days I think people go a little overboard on events/comments about Sarah and her family. But really, how are people supposed to heal/move on when every week there is something going on. Just remember there are far more "victims" out there that we should think about. Not just the immediate family. Lets not forget all of the law enforcement members, medical personnel, and citizens that suffered throughout this investigation as well. Each of those persons and families sacrafices as well and many of those people will continue to live with the memories (some good some bad) from this tragic event.

To start with I didn't say anything about you.I said it about Joe.Maybe you should mind your own business. If Joe doesn't like peoples opinions he should not give his.It feels fine to me.Because I know that bikers are good people.Let Joe do his own talking,he's a big boy. I'm not saying that Joe hasn't done good things. My point was that all bikers don't drink beer.I gave a lot of time and thinks to help in the missing of Sarah and very happy to do it.Also I talked with Joe at that time. And thanked him for all the things he was doing. So once again you don't know anything about me.

  29. Let me add this. I too am a Biker. I own two Harley's. I have been riding for more than 40 years.

Bikers are in fact great people, I never said they weren't. To set the record straight, I have a problem with this group using Sarah's NAME and PICTURE on an event that was NOT cleared with CAC and the Foxwell Family.

The group has admitted they were wrong for doing so and I respect that. I also respect the fact that they cannot do anything about it now, the fliers are printed and out there. However, they also stated there were numerous other events BEFORE the April Ride. I suspect they'll do it right the next time.

We ALL make mistakes and we can ALL be forgiven, or at least we should be. This group has been big enough to admit and apologize for their mistake. However, do NOT put it out there that I have ANYTHING bad to say about Bikers. I too do not drink and I ride. So there you have it.

  30. Joe,
I own a Harley to.That's not a big deal. And maybe before this was but on your blog at all.Someone should have talk with the ones putting it on.I too don't agree with some of it.But you did make a remark about bikers party and beer.My point again is that all bikers don't drink.Maybe they should have picked a better time and done things better. That was not my point at all.And I was not saying you were a bad person at all.To start with my comment was to you and not to the person that can't mind his own business. It's obvious that he or she doesn't like bikers.
