Work on construction of a fence along the Israel-Egypt border begins today.
The first tractors and heavy machinery will commence work on the obstacle, which is to block the influx of infiltrators that has plagued Israel in recent years. The fence is planned to stretch over 150 kms, and will be fitted with cameras and other technological devices that will make it possible to locate infiltrators.
The project is to last two years. The first 50-km stretch of fence is to be constructed north of Tze'elim in the Negev. This area is the scene of relatively large-scale infiltration by migrant laborers from sub-Saharan Africa and by weapons smuggling gangs.
The fence project is being undertaken by the Ministry of Defense, based upon a March cabinet decision. Work was slow to start, however, and last month the Prime Minister's Office published a statement prodding the officials responsible for the project to begin work as soon as possible.
The cabinet decided that it would supervise the pace of construction of the fence.

so we can fund a fence in israel but not on our own border? what's wrong with this picture? ugh
ReplyDeleteThe real problem is the jewish controled media pushing their agenda. what do I or many other Americans care about a fence or anything else in Israel? We couldn't care less. Jews will not stop until that fence encircles Iran and then they'll be looking at whats left of the world outside of their control. Put all American Jews so concerned with Isreal, on a plane or boat back to their real home, Isreal. That's where they belong and not in the United States of America. Then hopefully they would no longer contaminate our people with their thinking reflected in All Jewish Controlled Media, their never ending wars filled with hate and contempt for ALL Arabs. Just leave us White, Black and Hispanic Americans out of your battles. Jews only care about other Jews!
