I apologize for all the delays in moderating comments today but if you knew my schedule you'd completely understand.
One of the major things on my calendar today was a visit to Delmar Elementary School for American Education Week.
The question to all of you is, did you take the time, (or do you have plans) to visit your children's school this week?
YES do every year. Its important for you kids to know that you care about thier school work.
ReplyDeletejust got back from wi-hi with my kid! wow.
ReplyDeleteSure did and I loved evry minute of it. We make sure our son knows how important his education is to us.
ReplyDeleteVisited Delmar yesterday! My mom was there today and my sister and my husband will be there tomorrrow:)
ReplyDeleteThankfully we have enough family members that we have someone going each day this week! Very important for our kids to know that we are interested in what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteThey should do away with Am.Ed.Week. Too many unknown people walking around the schools. Parents should go anytime not just one specific week.

ReplyDeleteThe school system sent home a form for parents to list approved visitors and their relationship to the student. When i visited my daughter's school, they verified who I was before I was allowed to go to her class. And I believe most of our local schools would welcome parents at anytime of the year, especially the ones who are able to help out in the classrooms.
At least your allowed...Phillip C. Showell in Selbyville, DE no longer allows this as of a few yrs ago when we got a new principal
ReplyDeleteThis whole thing is a joke. I went to Prince Street and had to wait in line forever and then once I got to my son's class, the teacher that got thrown out because she hit a kid came back! How can you hit a kid and be alowed in a school? I'm not letting my son stay there b/c this lady is dangerouse. Somebody needs to do something because kids are in danger.
