TROOPERS CHARGE MAN WITH VIOLATING COURT ORDER
On July 15, 2010 at 2316 hours, Troopers from the Salisbury Barrack of the Maryland State Police responded to Athol Road near Rt. 50 in Mardela reference to violation of a protective order. Troopers were advised that Lee Christopher Berglund, 41, of Salisbury, was in the area on foot near a residence occupied by a subject who has a protective order against him. Troopers spotted Berglund hiding in the woods near the residence and pursued him on foot. A Trooper caught up with Berglund and after a brief struggle, Berglund was taken into custody. Berglund was transported to WCDC and was charged with violating a protective order, trespassing, and assault. Berglund was also served with an outstanding arrest warrant for violating the same protective order. Berglund is awaiting a hearing with the District Court Commissioner.
