Incident: Fight
Date of Incident: 31 May 2010
Location: Cove Road Beach, Bivalve, MD
Suspect: Pending

Narrative: On 31 May 2010
at 11:17 AM, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call for a disturbance in the parking lot of the Cove Road Beach in Bivalve. Callers advised of a large fight in progress.

Upon arrival the deputies observed that those fighting had ceased and all involved had separated into two groups. During subsequent interviews, deputies learned members of one of the group allegedly tried to run down members of the other group which resulted in the melee that initiated multiple 911 calls from other patrons and nearby residents.

EMS arrived and transported one subject from the scene to PRMC with minor injuries.

Deputies identified all involved and this investigation is on-going. Anyone who was present and may have further information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office.

Charges: Assault 2nd degree / Reckless Endangerment

Incident: Theft
Date of Incident: 29 May 2010
Location: 27000 block of Crooked Oak lane, Hebron, MD
Suspect: Raymond D. Dorsey, 22, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 29 May 2010
at 1830hrs, Raymond Dorsey was seen riding an ATV on the roadway when he was stopped by Law Enforcement. During the encounter, WCSO personnel learned that the ATV ridden by Dorsey had been stolen in a burglary back in April 2010. Dorsey was placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit. While en-route, the deputy learned that Dorsey had initially given a false time upon initial contact and subsequently discovered Dorsey’s true identity.

Dorsey was processed at the Central Booking Unit where he was charged with the theft of the ATV along with the burglary. After an initial appearance, Dorsey was detained by the Commissioner in lieu of $35,000.00 bond.

  1. .... Dorsey was stopped by an off-duty MSP trooper. There are other police officers/departments who make a contribution, you know.
