ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley will join Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, along with IndyCar officials, drivers, and racing executives for the official kick-off for the 2011 Baltimore Grand Prix. The IZOD IndyCar Series is the premiere “open-wheel” racing circuit in the United States with a season that includes races on traditional oval tracks, including the world-famous Indianapolis 500, and on temporary “Grand Prix” street tracks such as in Long Beach, CA, St. Petersburg, FL, and beginning in 2011, in Baltimore, MD.
Please note the time change in order to accommodate Governor O’Malley attending and offering remarks at funeral services for Mr. Raymond Haysbert, Sr.

ReplyDeleteThe cities that hold these races bring millons of dollars into town during the event.
Sure, people will complain about streets being closed at certain times, but these are great events to attend.
I would really like to see the Indy car series return to Dover. They were great events too but were not well advertised.
