The Preston Lemon Update
This is the updated information on my Ford Focus Lemon.
The Preston Ford service department contacted my mother today June 21,2010 since I was unavailable today. The lady from the service department asked my mother for the wheel to the destroyed tire since they would need it for the new tires that were ordered so they can put the tires on so the car can be returned back to me. Mom said Ford is buying the car back you are not supposed to be putting tires on it.
My mother contacted the service dept back and spoke to a gentleman there and asked why are they putting tires on the car he responded so they can get the car back to me. My mother called David Wilson Jr. and asked why is the service dept putting tires on the vehicle when the agreement was to get this car bought back. He responded that she was talking to too many people, she should only speak to him, (keep in mind Preston service called here).
David Wilson Jr. told my mother I'm not going to put her back in that car don't worry. My brother thinks Preston is up to something so he called on my behalf since I was unavailable today and spoke to David Wilson Jr.. He asked what's going on. David Jr responded that he's trying his best to get the car bought back. My brother responded, that's a politicians answer give me a yes or no if you are going to buy this car back and get her into another new car. He responded, yes we will get her in another car if we have to buy the car back. We want to keep a happy customer.
David Wilson Jr. told me last Monday they would have the car for three days it's turned into seven full days. I've been more than patient about this. I believe Preston along with Ford are trying to pull a switch and bait on me.
David Wilson Jr. originally told my mother that his reputation was on the line no new car was worth ruining his reputation. Let's get something straight I'm not trying to ruin any one's reputation I stating all the facts in this serious matter that Preston ignored until it was posted on the SBYNews.
In final words Preston agreed to get this car bought back one way or another. As of today it still has not been bought back. Fact and Truth, this car is a lemon. Preston needs to do what they promised and stop making me suffer.
I will keep you posted to the outcome.

She is unavailable but has time to write this! From the first I thought this gal was bad new to any asuto dealer - and I still feel the same way. Why does Mom and Bro have to take care of her business>
ReplyDeleteJust fix the problem Preston. I have no patience for stupid stuff. Mean what you say and say what you mean and quit trying to just make it look good to the public now that you are back pedaling.
ReplyDeleteSometimes its not always about you. All you are worried about is how you look. Open up your thick head and stand behind your customer or your business will be a lemonade stand.
919 Your an ass. Sometimes people do have jobs during normal business hours and they are not allowed access to a phone. And sometimes it takes a stronger person to get the point across. Men tend to take advantage of a woman's meekness so sometimes another person needs to get involved that has a little more testosterone to get on an even playing ground. It's not the customer's fault you have poor communication in your operation.
ReplyDeletegonna have to agree with 919 on this one. just like the excuse they used againist preston, you're talking to too many people. car dealerships have crazy hours 8am-9 or 10pm (and usually 7 days a week). unless this lady works at another dealership ALL THE TIME, i dont know how her hours can consistantly overlap.
ReplyDeleteread all posts. In all honesty, if your documentation is exactly the same as your post you have not satisfied the requirements of the lemon law as it is written. Get the same problem diagnosed and a failed fix at least 3 times for the same item. Quit talking to them so much. Just demand, in a few words, nicely what you want fixed. The more you say the more they can deviate from the issue. All the while discrediting you. Check to see if you have a flood car? car fax or Edmonds?? Call ford and ask for a build sheet. This will tell you exactly what is on the car and when it was made and where. Was the window sticker assigned to the Preston group?? One last question how did you cut your forehead while braking? Vase in the back seat and you were going in reverse??
ReplyDeleteIf she did not get a signed & notarized guarantee, written in English AND Spanish(not just the man's personal word of honor), she can forget it. There is no longer any honor, even among thieves.
ReplyDeleteThey are not working for you. Stop talking to them and start talking to an attorney. www.lemonlaw.com I went through these people. You need to talk to them and quit talking to Preston.
ReplyDeletealso....you dont jump from dealership to dealership if you honestly have a problem with the vehicle. sounds like you are trying to get over on them anyway but trying to get anyone you can to try to duplicate a concern. i have worked for a few dealerships. we know the laws and we wouldnt jeopardize the dealer ship by doing something illegal. You are trying to fight a battle that isnt there. People say car sales men are the worse liars....my god, honey customers are the worse liars. "ive had this problem since i bought the car (2 years ago and never told you about it) "ive never hit a curb in my car" (brand new but has the air dam ripped off) you all dont realize that we check these vehicles over multiple times before selling them...we cover our a*ses!
ReplyDeleteDave jr aint half the man his daddy is. promises promises promises. But he sure does eat more than his daddy.
ReplyDeleteFix the problem. It's not that hard. Just give them a new car.God you people are stupid. And yes I bought my wife's last suv from you.But when I here what you are trying to pull it makes one wonder if I will go back?

ReplyDeleteShe was told by FORD to take it to another dealer. Please get your facts straight.
with all the car dealerships that have gone under around here in the past couple of years you would think this one would do just about anything to keep there heads above water and keep a good name.
ReplyDeleteShould have bought a VW i have owned nothing but VW's from high school and have never had any problem that dover VW would fail to address and as long as the car was under the warranty period i never paid a dime
ReplyDeleteAmerican cars are not what they are cracked up to be their quality control is too lacking and finish is also lacking.
ive only owned 1 american car and it drove and handled like crap it was a chevy cavalier i traded it in less than a year and got back into a VW
