Rutledge Receives a Super Majority from Republican Party Membership
FOREST HILL, Maryland- U.S. Senate Candidate Jim Rutledge was the overwhelming favorite of Baltimore County Republicans in a straw poll conducted Thursday. Rutledge received a super majority of ballots cast to gain the endorsement. Baltimore County is considered a “Bell Weather” county for candidates seeking statewide office. Jim Rutledge said, “This group reflects the heart and soul of the Republican Party in Baltimore County, and I am proud to receive their endorsement.”
The Rutledge for Senate Campaign believes this endorsement is another example of the support and momentum Jim Rutledge is garnering in his effort to reform Washington and return a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate. Rutledge stated, “The Baltimore County Republicans are well informed and very active and this result shows our campaign has mushroomed.”
Jim Rutledge continues to fight to end the out of control spending of career politicians like Barbara Mikulski. The time has come for Marylanders to unite and help return the values of Ronald Reagan to Washington.
This is exciting news. Glad to see these reform minded candidates getting out there and making some headway. I was at the Young Republicans Convention in Salisbury today and ran into Rob Fisher who is running for Maryland's District 1 Congressional seat. I hope that people will check him out too! He seems like a really great choice!
ReplyDeleteThis great news for Rutledge! He is truly an outstanding candidate. Hopefully the voters will recognize it and elect him.
ReplyDeleteI've got my "Rutledge for Senate" bumper sticker firmly affixed to my car! They're easy to get so, anyone that wants to support Jim, just google his campaign and they'll hook you up. Mikulski's gotta go!
ReplyDeleteI don't care what this "poll" says, I am voting for someone that can actually beat Mikulski and that is Dr. Wargotz. Rutledge's association with groups like Help Save Maryland is really going to hurt him in the general election. ReplyDeleteIs this another exaggeration? I don't see anything about this on the Baltimore County Central Committee's website.
ReplyDeleteRR Club representing Baltimore County as a whole? Yeah, right. Publish the stats RR Club and show us what a sham that was. I was there. What a joke!
ReplyDeleteI'll defer to Ann Miller of the Ronald Reagan Republicans...FYI - The Reagan Club endorsements are a sham. They used a rank order system which allowed Jim's supporters to vote for Jim as their 1st choice and E as their 7th choice. Add up all the candidates placements and Eric gets clobbered. That style of voting kills the lead candidate who every candidate is trailing. Thanks Ann Miller.......BillC
ReplyDeleteWith all these other candidates in this race and the method that the RR club uses to vote for endorsements, you can not give this endorsement any credibility at all. Rutledge can not beat Mikulski. I am supporting Eric Wargotz, he is the only one that can finance and win a state wide race.
