A front seat passenger in Brackin’s vehicle (Jones) was transported by ambulance to the Kent General Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Brackin was charged with Inattentive Driving. SR 1 n/b was closed for approximately one hour as the crash was being investigated.

  1. Private ambulances should be illegal. Allowing a wannabe 20 y/o ambulance driver to operate an emergency vehicle is stupid and idiotic.

Does anyone know what the name of the ambulance companies were?

  2. First of all, rivate ambulance companies provide a service for people in need. Something that regular emergency ambulances cannot handle. So until you know more about how private companies work, please do more research.

Also, age is not all that is involved here. There are better drivers that are in their early 20s than some who are older. Driving an ambulance has everything to do with training and exerience. So again, before commenting on age, do more research on what makes a "good" ambulance driver.

Also, unless you were there, you do not know exactly what happened, you know what is REPORTED. Again, check your sources.

My point, yes, a mistake was made here, but before you go blaiming people, do some research. I am more angered by people jumping to conclusions and saying nasty things than by what actually transpired at the scene. It is very hard to stop an ambulance, if you knew more about emergency vehicle operations, you may change your tune. I respect opinions of others, but must speak up when people insult something they are not completely informed about.

  4. As a matter of fact, no I was not involved in any way, shape, or form in this incident. However, I know many people in the industry, and to group all of them together is ignorance on the accusers part.

  6. 12:16-- Really? Please, I beg of you, go out and purchase a dictionary and learn when and when not to use a hyphen.(-) The word "there" refers to location. The word "their" shows posession. On behalf of the educational system in MD, I do apologize. Apparently the special education program you were placed in due to your low IQ score did not work for you. Your time making animal figures from macaroni noodles and glue should have been spent reading and practicing your writing.

  7. it is never good to generalize populations... BUT, there is simply no way a 20 year old has sufficient experience to drive an emergency vehicle. period.
