ReplyDeleteI lived on a river near Annapolis for about 35 years and watched the once abundant crab population gradually decline to nothing while fees for the privilege of crabbing continued to climb. The result so far has been scarcity of any crabs and plenty of fees.
I'll just bet a NEW fee will be announced. Most likely in the name of protecting the watermen.
Do you really think he would hold a press conference to announce a new fee? Please use some common sense.
ReplyDeleteHe is not going to Kent county to announce anything negative toward the crabbing industry.
ReplyDelete"Do you really think he would hold a press conference to announce a new fee?"
ReplyDeleteNot a doubt in my mind since he's being doing the same thing for nearly 5 years now. You see, a fee is not a tax (so they say....).
Some how the recreational fisherman will get screwed !
ReplyDeletemore than likely he is going to announce that the crab population is on the rise, then he is going to say that he is somehow responsible for the increase,,,wow he can do so much in only 1 year.....
ReplyDelete5:55 what is wrong wih protecting the waterman
The waterman like the farmer is the backbone of Maryland and the Eastern Shore. Governor O'Malley walked into the office of the governor with the horrible deficit and mess left by Ehlrich......Deficit in Maryland you people act like you never knew anything about it. Now that man wants to run again in Maryland. for the love of sanity find out what he did in office last time. And yes what is wrong with helping the waterman...?
ReplyDelete1.9 billion in new taxes and fees! that's your idea of good government? He's going to announce someone actually saw a blue crab in the bay!
ReplyDeletefools!
Last time I looked Erlich left office with a surplus of $2million. Marty the Mick went through that like Grant going through Richmond.
