On Thursday, April 8 at 7:30 P.M., Pemberton Historical Park will present a lecture on how to Invite Wildlife to Your Backyard. This workshop series will begin in April and continue into June, occurring on the second Thursday of each month. On this particular evening, participants will learn about the dangerous animals that may visit your backyard; ways they can be harmful and ways that they can be helpful. This program is $6 per person or $18 for a family of four.
Now that spring is here, the weather is getting warmer and the forest is coming back to life. Join a Park Naturalist for a Night Hike on Friday, April 9 at 9:00 P.M. and explore the park for its waking nocturnal inhabitants. Discover for foxes, flying squirrels, bats and more! This program is $6 per person or $18 for a family of four. Friends of Pemberton receive free admission.
On Saturday, April 10 at 11:00 A.M., Pemberton will hold the first Tiny Tykes Hike of the season. If your child loves the outdoors, then bring them along on this hike. Explore different topics through stories, crafts, live animals, games and hikes. This month’s program is all about birds! The program is developed for children ages 2-4 and is $6 per child or free for Friends of Pemberton.
Come back at 1:00 P.M. for the Family Scavenger Hunt. Bring the whole family out and discover the sights, sounds and wonderful experiences that spring at Pemberton has to offer! First, second and third place prizes will be awarded. This program is $10 per family of 4-6 people. Please register in advance.
