A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EST FRIDAY.
A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO INTENSIFY OFF THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND COAST. THIS LOW WILL MOVE INTO SOUTHERN NEW YORK OVERNIGHT NIGHT AND STALL THERE THROUGH THE DAY ON FRIDAY. THIS WILL PUSH MOISTURE SOUTHWARD THROUGH NEW JERSEY AND INTO THE DELMARVA OVERNIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING...PRODUCING A PERIOD OF SNOW.
SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE BY MIDDAY FRIDAY WITH LIGHT SNOW AND FLURRIES CONTINUING INTO FRIDAY AFTERNOON. TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE...BEFORE THE SNOW COMES TO AN END LATE FRIDAY.
IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW...SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO NEAR 50 MPH WILL DEVELOP OVERNIGHT AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY ON FRIDAY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES...AND MAY IMPACT TRAVEL AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY DURING THE FRIDAY MORNING COMMUTE.
