We've Really Got Their Attention, And Now Google's Too

City Of Salisbury Fire Department Proves Fiscal Irresponsibility
Firestorm is just the beginning of the trouble the City is about to encounter.
Bill Gordy & Co. have filed for a Grant for some $900,000.00 and received it recently to purchase a BS Fire Boat, (completely unnecessary) for the City of Salisbury.
While the Fire Department desperately needs Ambulances and other desperate equipment, Gordy continues to drive the City's debt into the ground while Gary Comegys leads the way.
I can recall Gary saying, well, let's just vote for this thing. No one is saying we're going to order it and if times are too difficult we'll let it go. Don't quote me on those words but that's how I recall it.
While Comegys and others will claim it's a Grant and not out of pocket money from the taxpayers, he's absolutely 100% wrong. Not only will this cost ALL Americans another $900,000.00 for something Salisbury doesn't need, who's going to pay for the maintenance on this vessel Gary? Not only that but who's going to man it? What's the training going to cost taxpayers? How many JOY RIDES will the SFD take on this puppy? What's the fuel going to cost yearly? ALL topics Gary and Gordy refused to bring to any ones attention.
Use the Firestorm link above to go visit the manufacturers Site. They have videos of all their TOYS. Again, you just remember what I told you here on Salisbury News and 5 years from now when they come back and tell everyone it's worn out and the shelf life on these Boats are only "X" amount of years, (you know the story) you'll be wondering just why ANY of you were so stupid to re-elect this guy.
Gordy needs to go, period. When will Ireton grow a pair and start cleaning house before the City goes completely broke? How's that $84,000,000.00 WWTP working out for you Jim. You've been pretty quiet on that topic and probably will stay that way until next summer when the water temperatures drop to the level they need to normally be at to work properly.
The Fire Department desperately needs more Staff, not more TOYS!
REAPING WHAT THEY SOWED
There are 13 million people between the ages of 19 to 29, that do not have health care insurance.
The majority earn over $50,000 a year. The majority supported the change Obama promised. Under the proposed senate health care bill, they must purchase insurance. If they fail to do so they will be fined.
In response to a question from Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev) Tom Barthold, chief of staff, joint Committee on taxation, said if they do not purchase coverage and fail to pay the fine, they face a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty.
Do you think they will be sent to Gitmo? Perhaps that's why it needs to be emptied.

It Just Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!
If your foot doesn't move with this, you are dead. Recorded in 1987 at historic Storyville Night Club in New Orleans . Here's something you don't see every day: Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis and Fats Domino –three of the greatest "ivory-ticklers" of their day – playing pianos on the same stage at the same time.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime appearance, and one you will not soon forget! Ron Woods of the Rolling Stones, Carl Perkins (Blue Suede Shoes), and others playing back-up, a cameo appearance by Rod Stewart, and all directed by Paul Schaeffer, Letterman's band leader!
This is ‘boogie' at its best… & played by "the Kings."

How Much Government Control In Cybercrisis?
At least 18 bills have been introduced as Congress considers digital disaster
WASHINGTON - There's no kill switch for the Internet, no secret on-off button in an Oval Office drawer.
Yet when a Senate committee was exploring ways to secure computer networks, a provision to give the president the power to shut down Internet traffic to compromised Web sites in an emergency set off alarms.
Corporate leaders and privacy advocates quickly objected, saying the government must not seize control of the Internet.

I don't care who you are, that's almost unbelievable. You people wore me out on that one. Fernando's Camp was also amazed at the amount of attention placed on those tickets and that contest. Next time we'll have to make it one number out of a thousand. Just kidding, I can't handle all those comments.
We'd like to congratulate Bill Barrall once again for winning two FREE tickets to the Title Fight on Oct. 10th at the Shorebirds Stadium. I hear through the grapevine that there may be some very special surprises the night of the fight but we're not at liberty right now to expose what they might be. Hopefully in the next few days we'll be able to announce something special.
Ticket sales are going very well but we really need to pack this place. These fighters will be delivering some of the finest action money can buy so please get out to the Stadium and support this event by buying some tickets. There are still plenty of very inexpensive seats available.

MURDER-SUICIDE CONFIRMED IN DEATHS OF FREDERICK CO. FAMILY
(Mt. Airy, MD) – The four victims found dead inside a Frederick County home last night have been positively identified as the members of the family who lived at that address and died as a result of murder-suicide.
The deceased are identified as Charles L. Dalton Sr., 38, the husband and father, his wife, Jennifer A. Dalton, 37, their son, Charles L. Dalton Jr., 14, and their daughter, Emmaline E. Dalton, 7. All four lived in the quad-level home in the 300-block of Contour Road, Mt. Airy, Md.
The four were identified today during autopsies conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore. The medical examiner determined each person died of a single gunshot wound to the head. The cause of death for Jennifer Dalton and her two children was murder. The cause of death for Charles Dalton Sr. was suicide.
Maryland State Police investigators and crime scene technicians spent last night and most of the early morning hours today processing the scene. Investigators said Jennifer Dalton was found lying in bed in the master bedroom. Charles Dalton Sr. was found lying next to the bed. A .12 gauge pump shotgun was found next to his body. Troopers have not found a suicide note.
Charles Dalton Jr. was found in bed in his bedroom. Emmaline Dalton was found in her bed in a separate bedroom.
The preliminary investigation indicates Mrs. Dalton and her two children were shot by her husband as they slept. Mr. Dalton then used the same shotgun to commit suicide. All four victims were shot in the head. A motive for the murders has not been clearly identified at this time.
The family dog, a beagle, was also found dead. The dog had been shot while in a crate inside the front door of the home.
Investigators believe the murders and suicide occurred between Thursday night and Friday morning. Mrs. Dalton failed to report to work at her part-time job at a veterinary hospital in Damascus. Fellow employees called her home and cell phone beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, but received no answer.
One of Mrs. Dalton’s co-workers stopped by the house at 2:15 p.m. Friday, but there was no answer at the door. There was no school in Frederick County Friday.
Troopers learned Charles Dalton Sr. was self-employed as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He also worked the night shift as a maintenance worker for Montgomery County schools.
Charles Dalton Jr. was in ninth grade. He was a junior firefighter at the Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Company, the same company that responded to his home yesterday. Emmaline Dalton was an elementary school student.
