  2. No .
If Mayor Ireton cannot handle the crime problem in salisbury , then he should step down as mayor.
Mike lewis is not the mayor .

  3. yes, why not. SPD cant handle the load

  4. OF COURSE -- city property owners also pay county taxes so the Sheriff should operate in the City too, as he has proposed and Chiefy Webster has refused.

  6. First, Ireton should fire Webster!

  7. I think that we should stop pushing for Mike Lewis to take over Salisbury - although I am in complete agreement with the idea.

Sometimes the more you push, the more people resist. If they Mayor doesn't take care of the problem very soon, the people who voted him in should start impeachment proceedings against him.

Also, where are the county and state officials in this? Maybe it is time they started putting pressure on the city to clean up its act. Salisbury is part of the county - where is Rick Pollitt on all of this? Why aren't our state delegates putting pressure on the City???

  8. Maybe the sheriff can help get these brownie eating, soda drinking, dorito craving pot heads off the street!

  9. Yes. Mike Lewis should become Webster's boss. Webster can stay at his little desk job. His continued lack of job performance should continue to be evaluated and documented. Then as crime starts to improve in the city under Mike's administration then will the council finally vote to get rid of the worthless, good-for-nothing bald headed prick.

  10. What for? the police chief is a nice enough guy with 10 years experience, not sure in what, but that don't matter, and we should just work with what we got. Peace!

  11. Yes - in the same breath that he fires the current Chief of Police.

  12. I think Ireton should step down.

    ReplyDelete
  13. No one will be able to help until the Chief is replaced by a LEI with leadership abilities. Also, the SPD should be forced to be members with the WBI, working hand in hand with the other police agencies.

  14. I pay County and city taxes. SPD is understaffed and needs a leader that really cares about thier and our city. YES!

  15. no way. lewis can't handle the sheriff dept. he hasn't time to help anyone else.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I think the SPD should be merged into the Sheriff's Dept and have one strong police dept for the whole county.

  17. Don't know, but I do know this, Webster needs to go!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Right after Webster is gone, we need the State's Attorney, City Council, City, and Courts to work together on the necessary legislation to ensure those brought to justice get justice, and the City and its residents get justice.

  19. Not one mention of the new "crime czar". What no faith that the mayor's new appointment will solve the problem? The first thing that government does when the public outcry reaches a boiling point is throw money at the problem and appoint a Blue Ribbon committee to come up with recommendations. How about just get people to do their job or fire them, and let people protect themselves without going to jail for it!

  20. Need to crack down on the slumlords. I read they (the slumlords) want more police protection, that is they want me, a Salisbury tax paying private citizen, to spend my tax dollar to provide security for their hell holes, oops, meant income producing properties. Why are they not better managing these themselves? If they cannot or will not run security and financial checks, or write rental contracts that protect them, too bad. And if they end up with multiple calls for service, then the City should fine them for running a nuisance property. Enough already!

  21. We need to call on the Gardian Angels to help clean this place up.

  22. Absolutely! Mike Lewis is a no BS kinda of guy that doesn't take crap from anyone. HE knows how to get a job done and achieve his goals! He proved that with his awesome abilites while on the MSP and what he accomplished during his years of service to us there!

  23. Delmar and Fruitland are doing just fine thank you very much.

  24. Yes vote from me on this one!

  25. Yes I believe that it should be not just Mike Lewis. Get the MD State Police involved as well. I know Ireton wants to fire that A$$hole Webster. So for those of you who want Ireton gone remember this, the three members of council are the ones to blame for it. They refuse to do anything. Time to turn the heat up on their a$$es too. Start calling, harassing and emailing them. If they still refuse to do it, fire them. We all get on here and complain that something needs to be done. It's time we started to do some things to assist in getting rid of that LOSER!!!!

  26. ~Put Mike Lewis as Lead over the whole city/county police force replace Webster with another strong leader under Mike. You will see change. You have to have respect to lead....it is not happening in the current city system.
The city police department should be used in study manuals as the worst form of leadership there is and a clear and concise example of what not to do if you want a well oiled machine.

  27. Hell YES!! I like the idea about the Guardian Angels too!

  28. Ireton needs to keep his head buried in the sand down at the park. What the heck it gives people a place to park thier bicycles.

  29. Friend of the Guardian AngelsDecember 16, 2009 at 12:30 PM

The Guardian Angels would love to come down here and train citizens. I'm just not sure how many volunteers would be willing to walk the streets of Salisbury. Unfortunately, many people are upset, but are unwilling to put forth the effort to actually get involved and volunteer their time and safety for a better city.

  33. 9:31 what in the world are you smoking???? would you expect to keep your job in the private sector after 10 yrs of poor job performance sheees you wouldn't last 9 mo. that's about how long it took me to get rid of dead beat employees where I worked everything documented and in the file the mayor is dotting I's and want to see the T crossed!
    Oh I say YES

    ReplyDelete
  34. Webster and Ireton both need to resign from their positions because they both have an arrogance that prevents them from doing their jobs.

Mike Lewis is a go getter when it comes to crime and he has a great team of dedicated officers that can regain control of this city.

  36. If citizens could carry weapons these crooks would find another Mayberry to move to and take AL-Barney Webster with them. He's only allowed one bullet you know!
