Kratovil Opposes Legislation Raising Debt Ceiling

Washington, DC – Rep. Frank Kratovil opposed a measure that was passed by the House of Representatives to increase the limit on the federal debt by $290 billion, to $12.394 trillion

“This debt limit vote is a wakeup call. Our nation’s mounting debt is a bipartisan failure years in the making, and it requires a bipartisan solution. Passing strict pay-as-you-go budget laws is essential to the future of our country, and today’s vote to raise the debt limit represents a lost opportunity to also demand the enactment of statutory PAYGO.

“Everyone in Washington owns a share of the blame for allowing our national debt to grow to dangerous levels, threatening the prosperity of future generations of Americans. Both parties need to ease up on the rhetoric and instead work together on a solution to our fiscal crisis. I will continue to push for strong budget reforms, and I am hopeful Congress will take real action on such reforms before we must again vote to raise the debt limit.”

  1. I will hope that Rep. Kratovil continues his concern for the mounting debt when the time comes to vote on a final health plan with unforeseen debt or final cap and trade with uncertain results.

  2. Lets see how Frankie votes when it gets down to the Dumbocrats NEEDING his vote. Since Pelosi understands that the thin ice on which he stands is starting to crack, he is given every opportunity to act conservative to create some smoke to run into during the next election. Lets see how he votes when his vote is important in passage any Nancy says he MUST vote her way or else.

You really need to give it a rest. Your repeated repetitive posts are wearing very thin. And as far as Kratovil being on thin ice, Harris's recent poll (if you really want to believe the accuracy of a candidate's own poll) showed him with a 13% per cent lead over Kratovil.

That might sound impressive unless you remember that Harris's poll taken before the 2008 election showed him with a 16% lead over Kratovil.
