This was very nice Joe. I've gotta say that I will never see that for myself because that road up would scare me to death without guard rails. I'm extremely afraid of heights, edges and bridges.
It is sad that America the Beautiful isn't accepted in our schools anymore but the kids can do an Obama rap song and it be perfectly acceptable. The liberals are destroying patriotism in this country.
I took my mother and father in law up to the top when I lived there. The dirt part of the road is actually not as bad as the paved part because everyone has to slow down. It takes two hours to get there from Denver (or did 30 years ago). We saw Mountian Goats along the road. The trees stop growing at about 11,000 feet. The road is scary for some but most feel it well worth it when they get near the top. Unbelievable views up there.
This was in August we had a hail storm (common in Denver) 4 inches of it fell and the temperature dropped to 40 degrees I took a picture of the thermometer at the gift shop (which later burned down).
i absolutely love colorado! i lived in colorado springs for 3 years during the army and colorado is by far a very beautiful state. been to the top of pikes peak a couple of times and it is really breath taking! that video makes me want to go back sometimes because its so pretty there!
Please God shed his grace on thee.
