Criminal Arrest
DATE & TIME: 11-22-09 @ 2250 hrs
LOCATION: Laws Rd @ Bear Swamp Rd Salisbury, Wicomico Co., MD. 21801
CASE NUMBER: 09-54 011499
CRIME:
1. CDS Possession Cocaine
2. CDS Paraphernalia
3. 1st Degree Assault on Police Officer
VICTIM: State of Maryland / Tpr Wagner
Accused: Jeffrey Dean Lecates, W/M 41 yrs Salisbury, MD
BRIEF RESUME: On above date and time Tpr Wagner attempted to stop a van for failing to stop at a stop sign at the above location. When Tpr Wagner activated his emergency equipment the driver sped up and attempted to flee. A high speed chase ensued at speeds of up to 85 MPH on back rural roads. Tpr Wagner and other MSP units chased the van for approximately 25 miles. The driver of the van during the chase made a u-turn and attempted to ram Tpr Wagner’s vehicle. Stop sticks were deployed disabling the vehicle. The driver then bailed out of the vehicle and fled on foot. MSP helicopter and K9 were used to help locate the suspect. The suspect was located several hours later placed under arrest and transported to Central Booking. Tpr Wagner nor the suspect were injured.

ReplyDeleteyou should really check your facts before you post something like this. he did NOT attempt to ram the vehicle. and half of the charges have been dropped. so much for "news" I guess no one bothers to check facts anymore before opening their mouths.
ReplyDeleteanon 1:36 You are an idiot. He was charged with first degree assault which usually means he attempted to ram the police. None of the charges were dropped. That would not happen until his trial. Look it up on case search.
