What a clever idea!
Yes, Christmas cards. This is coming early so that you can get ready to include an important address to your list.
Want to have some fun this CHRISTMAS? Send the ACLU a CHRISTMAS CARD this year.
As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice,
CHRISTIAN card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world..
Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it.
Here's the address, just don't be rude or crude. (It's not the
Christian way, you know.)
ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York , NY 10004
Two tons of Christmas cards would freeze their operations because they wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions. So spend 44 cents and tell the ACLU to leave Christmas alone. Also tell them that there is no such thing as a " Holiday Tree". . . It's always been called a CHRISTMAS TREE!
And pass this on to your email lists. We really want to communicate with the ACLU! They really DESERVE us!!
For those of you who aren't aware of them, the ACLU, (the American Civil Liberties Union) is the one suing the U.S. Government to take God, Christmas or anything Christian away from us. They represent the atheists and others in this war. Help put Christ back in Christmas!
i may just have to send one for every one I send to freinds and family!!!
ReplyDeleteNo one is taking Christmas away from you. We just do not want it shoved down our throat. Christmas is a religous holiday not US holiday, not everyone participates.
ReplyDeleteNot all Atheists have an issue with people celebrating Christmas or having "In God We Trust" on currency. Not all Atheist wish to strip anyone of their belief. The ACLU is just like any other group of extremists, they push and push because a select few believe. Then others who are weak minded follow simply for something to believe in.
ReplyDeleteAs a split household I do not believe there is a God watching over and answering prayers, my husband on the other hand does. We have children that are taught the history of religion; in the aspect of Christianity, that leads back to Judaism.
People need to understand not all Atheists want to take Christianity away from any one nor any other religion for that matter. As an Atheist I think the ACLU and any other extremist group is wrong for trying to eliminate the beliefs that had a major impact in developing this country into what it is. No one should feel an obligation to sacfrice their beliefs especially in a country that is based on that belief.
The main point is any religion that does not promote violence and does promote acceptance of ALL people regardless of personal belief should be welcomed among all people. Everyone needs something to believe in and if God and Jesus bring someone comfort they should not be denied that, nor should a country sacfrice it's history in order to accomodate a select percentage of those who's choice differs from the vast majority.
As an Atheist I will be sure to send that Christmas card to the ACLU because the article is absolutely correct something things, especially one of the main foundations for America, should not be changed.
I just addressed one. Ill wait until after Thanksgiving to mail it. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteI second that 8:57.
ReplyDeleteSending a Christmas card to ACLU is like sending a condom to the Catholic Church. Childish and dumb.
Make sure you don't put a return address on it - they'll put you on their automated mailing lists.....
ReplyDeleteIf Christmas is "just a holiday", then what holiday is it??? ACLU..give it a rest. It's Christmas (tree, presents, church...the whole ball of wax)!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you don't like it move to a country that doesn't like it either.
9:49 ACLU exists, the United States has seperation of church and state. Those are the fact, maybe YOU should move to another country that lets religion dictate to the government. We don't do that here.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand people; as hard as I try to I just can't. Why can't we all coexist without trying to attack someone for what they believe? Christians are not being true to the belief when they attack those for not believing. People who do not believe yet feel the need to attack those who do are accomplishing nothing! Just stop for Pete's sake.
ReplyDeleteIf people would just get it through their thick skulls that none of us will be exactly the same but most of us want the same thing: a future for our children, a place to lay our heads at night without fear of being burglarized, an income, and the freedom to express our opinions. We do not all have to agree, we need to accept people as they are and if they are good people who cares what they believe in? I don't! Just stop all the drama and nonsense, it solves nothing and it is working a wedge among good people because they cannot accept the beliefs of others.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete"Separation of church and state" has been misinterpreted and misunderstood for years. The intention was that the government cannot establish and force a particular religion (like the Church of England) on its citizens and force them to support it. Americans are supposed to be able to freely participate in peaceable religious activities without the interference of government.
