Birth Certificate A Straw Man Argument?

Joe,

I think there is some evidence that the Main Stream Media is now setting up a straw man so they can knock it down. Here is an article claiming such:

The purpose may be to discredit the blogoshphere and the internet in general as a source for real news. The elite know full well, that Americans have begun to suspect the official story of many events (911, Oklahoma City, Waco, Iraq, Afghanistan). People are getting their news from the internet. It is possible that the Birther Movement has been set up as a straw man argument so it can be easily debunked.

Here is the more important aspect of the Birther Story: Obama accepted grants to Occidental College as a foreign student. This fact has fueled many in the Birther Movement. It is entirely possible that Obama stole money as a college student, but was in fact, born in Hawaii.
Also, being hidden in the media is Obama's past as a drug user and homosexual pervert. The Sinclair Book speaks to this "dirty" side of Obama's past, yet nothing is reported in the news about that matter.

  1. I knew their was more to this story than met the eye. Good job joe because i always thought we had even more laughable arguments against this Obamanists even before we realized we were turning everyone off to start with. keep up the good work.

  2. Even if the birth movement is a straw man, there are real problems with Obama. Those who have fallen for the birther movement sense that Obama is not "who he says he is".

  3. So, if the birthers are right, doesn't that mean NEITHER candidate last fall was born in America?

  4. Wouldn't that be "Birfers"?

  5. No it does not duck around. A Military base is considered US property / soil until the treaty / agreement expires. But anything that happens during that time is considered as happening on Ameican soil. Another question in history comes up. When was Hawaii declared a state. Up until they became a state they were not considered American soil.

  6. Concerned retiree--why don't you use some of the time you have on your hands to look up when Hawaii became a state. You will be disappointed. One more conspiracy shot down. Oh, and Medicare is socialized medicine. Please give it up since you don't want that for anyone else. Only then will you not be a hypocrite.

  7. Retiree, you're wrong about whether a U.S. territory is "American soil." If Obama were born in Hawaii before it was a state he would still be fine. There are other presidential candidates who were born in territories and it was perfectly legal for them to run for President. Barry Goldwater, for instance, was born in Arizona Territory.

Of course, this is all moot since Obama was born in Hawaii after it became a state. He wasn't born in Kenya or anywhere else. The nutjobs who think differently give all of us conservatives a bad name.

  8. I only asked a question and then stated a fact. That does not make me a hypocrite. This is an example of how individuals take offense at everything that they beleive is against their belief. Start understanding what is being stated and not what you forgot to read. I said nothing about Medicare, but why should we not take care of the legal elderly citizens that deserve it. We, the Tax Payer, take care of third world countries and illegals before we take care own citizens. That is socialized medicine. I am laughing at your comment Anon because it reminds me of the phrase "comprehend what you read so you gain knowledge."

  9. Has anyone checked his mother's passport and travel records to see where she was when he was born?

  10. The "straw man" is simply the red herring that entire issue is. There is no conspiracy to debunk the power of the Internet.

But gee whiz, people, you do need to be discriminating in taking everything fed into your email box as fact. A lot of it is tripe. Then you post it up here as gospel.

Use your heads and stop using blind hate for a man who was not your choice in the election becoming president.

Don't give me the old "the other side did it." Grow up and stop saying two wrongs make a right. That right there is a large part of what is wrong with our country today!
