OCPD INVITES BUSINESSES WHO SELL SALVIA TO MEET REGARDING IMPENDING EMERGENCY ORDINANCE BANNING ITS SALE
Ocean City Police Chief Bernadette A. DiPino would like to invite all business persons involved in the sale and/or distribution of SALVIA and the associated paraphernalia, to attend an open meeting at the Ocean City Police Department to be held this Friday, July 31, 2009 at 1 P.M.
This meeting is being held in anticipation of the passage of an emergency Town of Ocean City Ordinance which will ban the sale, possession and distribution of SALVIA and all the associated paraphernalia.
The meeting is intended to provide Ocean City businesses currently engaged in the sale of SALVIA, information regarding the impending emergency ordinance which is projected to take effect as early as Monday night, August 3, 2009, after enacted and approved by the Town of Ocean City Mayor and City Council. By holding this meeting, the police department, intends to partner with businesses to help ensure compliance with the emergency ordinance by the date it takes effect.

ReplyDeleteWhat emergency? Did something change in the last week to make this so important? I really doubt it. consider this a tax on the businesses who sell this junk. Now they have stock they can't sell. Profits will go up in smoke!
