  4. What a joke. Is the cop who did his job going to arrange a meeting with everyone he arrests now to make ammends?

  5. i like it how all the references to this event, INCLUDING the president's, refer to it as "THREE" men meeting and having a beer. it's like biden wasn't even there! just play this video again and look at all the titles. then at the end of the video, listen to what the president says.

  6. So now I see that the same government that wants complete control of your medical care couldn't keep the "cash for clunkers" program going longer than four days.
    Kinda gives me the willies.

  10. I think Sgt Crowley should have passed on that invitaion but then how many times does the average person have the opportunity to socialize at the White House. Hope he gave Yomama a piece of his and fellow officers, piece of mind jackkcharl@aol.com

  11. Shoulda had this on a flight deck of an aircraft carrier with a Mission Accomplished banner, then no one would be crying about "anything for a photo op."

  12. duck"

Can you guys not get over it. Unfortunately Bush is not the pres any more. We have a communist/socialist in the White House who is all about himself. He is an America hating apologist. The sooner the next 3 1/2 years are over and he is gone the better off this country will be.

  13. 9:05 I disagree. I think Crowley did the right thing by accepting the invitation. If he hadn't of gone he would have been seen as a sour grape cop with an attitude. Crowley said the perfect thing afterwards: Mr. Gates and I agree to disagree.

  14. Can't we all just get along?

  15. 9:50 Crowley should have sour grapes with both Gates and Yomama. Did my heart good when I heard that there was a black Officer in attendance during that fracas. He should have been ivited also. As Bill Cosby says, it is time for his race to "own up and stand up". Of course there are plenty of white PITAs also. Oh well, just hope that something was salvaged out of the mess. Just hope that Sgt Crowley and other officers do not hesitate to do their jobs, fearing reprisal. Always said we (LEOs) have split seconds to make a decision and the courts (and now Presidents) feel comfortable Monday morning quarterbacking. Call Yomama and the judges from the court system the next time someone breaks in your house and threatens you and your family. Well thanks for allowing me to vent a bit jackkcharl@aol.com

  17. Here's what I liked -- following the Obamabeer, Crowley addressed the press . . .

His first comments were that he wanted to thank the Cambridge Police Department. He never thanked Obama.

The first question by a reporter was, "Were any apologies offered during the meeting?" His answer was "No."

He was asked "Did the president offer any input?" His answer was, "He provided the beer." Zing!

He had more positive things to say about Gates, and even Joe Biden, than he did about Obama.

  20. Should have said no! If you stop and think, Arresting officers having drinks and socializing with the arrested person before the dispostion of their case is a no no. Dude should have said no.

  21. This whole "have a beer" stage show trivializes a very disconcerting tendency on the part of "our " President...he and his "friends " are always right notwithstanding facts to the contrary. He thinks this gets him off the hook...as far as I am concerned until he apologizes I'll consider his comment racist and anti law enforcement.
