  2. Right up from my house. When are they going to do something about this stuff? What can we do as a community to force those that are trying to uphold the laws to be more effective? Guns are loaded, dog is on "watch" mode. That's about all I can do right now.

  6. That's right down the road from me too. That scares me because I have three small children and we go there several times a week. I hope they catch this guy.

  7. No town is safe around here. If you think Salisbury is the only eastern shore town with crime, think again. Criminals need more convenient stores to rob and once they have hit all the "Bury" stores they will be branching outward.

  8. What are you all so worried about? Statistically, there is about a 0% chance of anyone pulling an armed robbery on you at your home just because they robbed a store a few miles away. Robbing banks has proven to be far easier than robbing an individual in their home.

  9. Increase the police force instead of building a multi million dollar library! That's a no-brainer. When Mr. Choudrey who owned the convenience store last month was murdered in his own establishment, this decision should have been made. Our public schools and private schools all have libraries, there are the bookmobiles... Who are we trying to impress? The Mafia?

  10. Speaking of crime what in the world was going on at the Adkins Business Center on N Salisbury Blvd about 7 pm(formerly E S Adkins). A tent sale of prostitutes? There were 3 of htem standing in front of the center boldly hawking their "wares" to passing traffic. No shame. No fear of the law. The deterioration of Salisbury is not a myth. I wonder what kids think when they ride past this? Pray.

  11. In DC convienience stores have a drawer like a bank drive thru, the cashier is behind bullet proof glass and the doors are locked up tight.

If you want something that's the only way you can get it, here lots of places are closing earlier now.

  12. Funy that a criminal will risk 20 years in jail to get 80 dollars. One has to ask just how smart is this crew or guy. It is drug related no doubt.

To answer the question where is the white guy. Well the white guy with the drug problem robs all his family first. It usaully starts with barrowing money then flat out stealing it or other valubles.

Tha area needs a street crimes unit that is dedicated to only that. If you look at when this crime took place all the bars were closing domestics and trafic incident s are higher at this time. Hence patrol cops are busy.

A unit that works 20-04 in plain clothes and unmarked non police looking vehicles would wreak havoc on the local street crime. As the economy falters these crimes will double.

All agencies should commit man power. The unit could work the entire county. The prostituion in the city is to a point that is almost comical.

The pristine college community that I moved to is gone. We are starting to look like all the other burn out small cities. This are is still at a size when a specialized unit would make a major impact. Put a couple of old salt and a pack of wolves on the unit and it will suceed. It does not need community policing types or yes men. It needs officers that are in the job for the right reason. That is to aprehend criminals.

All the local agencies are hurt financialy, but this unit would pay for itself just in the reduction of crime and possible assets seized.

If there was ever a time for this it is now. The demographics of this area have changed in a negative way. The population is more transient and that causes street crime to increase.

The board that would oversee this unit could consist of all local law enforcement heads and a member of the perspective goverments. Hot spots could be targeted in all communities.

This is not a new concept but one that has faded due to man power issues and economics. i am sure there is some type of grant monies that would assist in funding this type of operation. The State Police have gang units that are doing this type of work throughout the state.

I am sure all the agencies have thought of this, but now is the time to put in into play.

The police are no more than a chek and balance to crime lets not let the scales tip in favor of the crimnals any longer.

  13. thats a shock. you typically don't hear that profile of a suspect in a crime... if and when they catch him, we need to embrace him, and try to discover how we, as a society have failed him, leading him to this life of crime. it's our fault. we all need to look in the mirror. i'm so sorry young black male in the hoodie... forgive me

  14. This is exactly why we need racial profiling .
