BREAKING NEWS!!!! CALDWELL DOWN BY ONLY 12 VOTES, 50 MORE TO COUNT!
OMG! This thing is NOT over Folks!
The absentee votes are being counted and things have changed quite drastically.
of the 143 ballots counted so far, with roughly 50 more to be counted on March 13th, (that's just the rules) Bob Caldwell is now only down by 12 votes Folks!
Bob got 79 votes.
Gary got 53 votes.
Ireton got 68.
That means Bob Caldwell is only down by 12 votes and from the numbers we're seeing, Bob Caldwell just might knock Gary Comegys OUT!
Cynthia Polk has now taken the #1 spot in the District 1 race and Shanie Shields remains at #2.
Polk got 10 votes and Shanie got 6.
Man, March 13th can't come soon enough!!!!!
That would make me so happy!
ReplyDeleteI know the fighting spirit and passion this man has. His gift to the city would be a goal-line stand here.....I would also love to see him get the wonderful gift of just spending time with his wonderful family and friends instead of cleaning the city's dirty diaper. You have earned it 'Superman'....You will get my laurel, and hearty handshake, next time I see you. Bravo for a noble campaign to the VERY end.
ReplyDeleteIm eating my words from yesterday and couldnt be happier, COME ON BOBO.
ReplyDeleteWooooooo hooooooooooooo Go BOB
ReplyDeleteOh please keep posting as soon as you know anything. I sooooo want to bump Bubba!
ReplyDeleteWhy are they waiting until the 15th to finish counting?
ReplyDeleteSomeone better guard those ballots, big time!
ReplyDeleteI bet Bubba and BPT are sweating right now.
BTW...isn't March 15th also known as the "Ides of March"-when a certain Caesar was "subjected to an unfavorable referendum?" This is a compelling local political dogfight here..good stuff...really good stuff.
ReplyDeleteMarch 15, What rule? What is this Hollywood squares.
ReplyDeleteOh sh*t!
ReplyDeleteHoly Crap!!!! Come on Bob!!!! Woo Hoo!!!
ReplyDeleteHey! Did you her that? That was Bubba's arse puckering... LMAO
ReplyDeleteActually, the final absentee count is on Friday, the 13th -- let's hope that's an omen for Bubba.
ReplyDeletePlease, pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseprettyplease let it be so!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe suspense is maddening! The sound of the puckering, however, makes up for it.
ReplyDeleteWonder what happens if they were to end up in a tie?
ReplyDeleteWhy are we waiting to count the last 50 ballots until March 15th? I'm looking at the City Charter and I don't see that date anywhere. Are we waiting for military ballots? If so, we can still count those 50 and wait to see if any military ballots come in later. Please let us know why we're waiting for the 15th. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis is great news! I was so hoping he'd be one of the finalists. I know that both Bob and Jim would do right by Salisbury.
ReplyDelete200 votes out of a possible 286, my guess is Bubba's troops are only voting once; so we have a possible 100 more votes if they all vote for two but the Bubba contingent won't be doing that.
ReplyDeleteLooks like we'll be headed for a recount. If these numbers are accurate, then Bob got about 55% of the votes, Gary got 37%, and Jim got 47.5%.
ReplyDeleteThere's no reason to expect that those % would change in the final 50 votes meaning that each candidate would add:
Bob 27.5, Gary 18.5, and Jim 24
That's only a 9 vote gain by Bob, leaving him 4 votes short of a win.
Given that the remaining % will not be *exactly* the same, it would seem just as likely we will have a virtual tie, if not a squeaker of a win by Gary.
Why not count the 50 NOW!!!
ReplyDeleteIt ain't over until the fat people sing, just ask Shanie and Gary!
ReplyDeleteThey counted 214 votes out of 143 ballots. They have an additional 58 ballots to go. We don't know the number of votes on those ballots. Rather than use the number of votes use the number of ballots to run your percentage. Remember Mike Della Penna took 14 votes out of the 214. This is close and Bubba should be sweating bullets right about now. This could end up in a tie...then what?
ReplyDeleteIt's now clear that Bubba won't be "R Necks Mare" and in 2 more years he will be history along with Barrie, Mikey Dunn and Lynn Cathcart.
ReplyDeleteC'mon, Bob! I hope my second vote puts you in and Gary out. I'm still with Ireton, but if you should beat him, I know it will have been honorably done and will you support you.
ReplyDelete(Note to sour grapers - I didn't need to be "told" to "play" the second vote. I voted for the two I RESPECT!)
Hey Bubba:
ReplyDeleteYou had better stay at SHA
With Jim I., ain't no way!
There is a god!
ReplyDeleteAnyone buy Bubba!
Hope Caldwell or Ireton wins!
Salisbury definitely needs a positive change! I think they are both good men!
I talked to Bob today and he is very excited and thinking positive. You've got my vote and support Bob, hang in there. We need someone of your character and experience. Boot Bubba and Barrie.
