March On Washington

Joe,

It seems that most of the people who comment in response to your political posts
seem to believe in protecting our rights to bear arms and support many other
conservative views. I know that there are exceptions - such as Reese Bobby and
Two Sentz, but I think many of us (those neither feeding at the trough or
sympathetic to those who are) are looking for a way to resist the march to
SOCIALISM! I am afraid that our Nation is nearly lost and have been searching
for a way to get involved in an organized effort to put up a fight. I hope that
you will share this link to a Grassroots organization that is set up to bring
people together to resist the following:

1. Socialistic wealth redistribution including any and all tax increases and
big-government welfare programs.
2. Silencing conservatives through the Fairness Doctrine and other efforts that
restrict free speech.
3. Open border anarchy including amnesty for illegal aliens and promotion of
multi-nation "unions".
4. Government-run health care that weakens our system and imposes more tax
burdens on citizens.
5. Weakening of our military through rapid pullback from Iraq, defunding our
troops and overall disarmament.
6. Social liberalism including radical pro-abortion agenda, the end of marriage
and the homosexual agenda.
7. Liberal court activism that undermines faith, family and liberties while
expanding government control.
8. Post-American globalism that diminishes our global role and threatens our
national sovereignty.
9. Environmental extremism, the CO2 tax, undermining coal and nuclear, and bans
on exploration.
10. Weakening the 2nd Amendment through unconstitutional gun laws that take away
or penalize us for owning firearms and our right to defend our family, our
property, and ourselves.

(All above items were copied from the site.)

  1. Joe, have you looked at this site personally. They are looking for state leaders. You would be a good state leader in this. If you joined them others would follow. You are a leader. Let your readers know what you think. Your opinion counts to many.

  2. I'm also going to join the one "to stop paying taxes". If they cant curb wasteful spending....cut them off!

  3. Gotta have a permit to do it, good luck with that.

  4. For the record, I am in favor of the Second Amendment. Got some nice toys myself. But, never once had to use any of them because either the canine, alarm system, a simple 911 call, and/or the necklace of ears leftover from my second tour in 'Nam hanging on my porch scared them away. I just giggle my azz off at you "Mini-Tackleberrys" who purchase tens of thousands of rounds for a military assault rifle which will neither protect you at an ATM, nor in a spontaneous hand-to-hand fight in your kitchen when you go for milk and cookies and find a thug {for buddha's sake-just use a cleaver on them}. Judges tend to frown upon things when you try to evoke self-defense and it turns out you brained the guy who broke into your house in the back of the head with three high velocity/armor piercing rounds from 300 yards away {across a public street and your neighbor's swimming pool} with a scoped military rifle. If we can loosen legislation for us good folk to pack pistols, I am all for it. But based on some of the commenters here-I would prefer if many of you just stuck with a Nerf crossbow so you don't hurt YOURSELVES.

  5. Why would we want to tell the Totalitarian Government who we are and where we live? Remain anonymous - as long as you can. Be afraid, be very afraid.

  7. 1:13. If we can talk in a sensible way about this....its too cold for golf today anyway. First, I'm not a democrat or a republican. I call them as I see them. I do think the policies of George W. Bush et. al screwed us {and our children/grandchildren's generation} like a $20 "lady of the evening".I understand if you say that is the "cost of war"...but man I don't think we are at war on our own soil against ourselves. Do you guys really think that? Please don't watch Fox news all day-it is really just a gateway drug towards unchecked delusional behavior. Isn't the actual trillion dollar war against Iraq enough? BTW-if we were wanted a war we should have smacked Iran who actually is more fundamentalist and held our hostages long ago. If you do think that way, that is a self-imposed paranoid prison, man. What do you think the goal of the 19 hijackers was on 9/11? Was it merely to kill a few thousand people and burn down some buildings, or were they after something more insidious long-term? Such as our own people developing a self-imposed "bunker mentality" where even good actions are viewed as suspect and hard times are seen as an absolute apocolypse, which eventually destroys our economy. If you genuinely look at things as you comment; YOU have let the terrorists win. YOU are now fighting the US government while bin Laden chills out and listen to Chuck Mangione records in a nice air-conditioned cave {possibly in Luray, Pennsylvania}. Buy a nice pistol. Buy a shotgun so you don't kill my kid riding a bike half a mile away because your dumb azz missed with your Bushmaster. Buy cayenne pepper spray which may have helped Mr. Shea to at least blind his attacker {can't hit what you can't see} when he was ambushed. But then loosen up and enjoy America. { And my MOS is classified....but I currently fight as a "force magnifier" to try to get America to get its head back on straight...I also open for Carrot-Top when he performs at various West Virginia comedy clubs and waffle houses.}

  8. Reese its not the goverment that is our enemy, they are mere puppets to their corporate master. The politicians are to me as "Lawyers" are to many. I certainly hope we never have to fight on our soil amongst ourselves, I hope that the average middle class American can break free from this non-sense that has brain-washed our lives for far to long. The constant consumption theory of how to live. This was festered by Corporate America for their own greedy consuming ideals. My greatest fear is soon there will be no country to defend, the battles of the present and the future will be economic battles(the new war) and the goverment didnt create that. The corporate power devils did, but if one day we are called to serve in the battle I want to be aiming at the right target. But make no mistake, I will gladly give my life to defend this nation from all enemies both FOREIGN and DOMESTIC.

  9. 2:24. Have you considered a "Happy Hour"?..I took the family bowling this morning. Perhaps mentor a young person-teach them to fish or hike at Pemberton Park. Get some fresh air. Enjoy some sunsets and campfires. Put on A Van Morrison or Bob Marley CD or something. Do you know how good smores taste after a Bob Marley album? Seriously-In writing I probably come off as a smart azz, but I am concerned our own citizens would view our GREAT country in such a pessimistic/defeatist way. I agree with you on some of that corporate greed and consumption mentality stuff; but what has passed has passed. What can WE {starting with you and me} do today to be "the bigger man"?...start with either the "Happy Hour" or sunset in a couple hours. And adopt one of the shelter dogs you see here; they are both cuddly and persuasive. You remember how fast that Usain Bolt cat ran in the Olympics? Well, it just isn't fast enough....woof woof.

  10. Reese I adopted a human instead. Buddy "Happy Hour" goes on my job resumes. I have taught all the grand children how to fish(I have a pond in my back yard). I like watching the sun-sets from a deer stand with nothing but the sights and sounds of nature all but consuming me. You can keep the Marley. As far as what can I do today, I can have faith that the tumblers didnt bring me through all they have just to fail me now.

  11. 3:11. See with a little simple conversation we find we are not only both human, but also enjoy common ground. Imagine if congress, or other nations could do this without exchanging gunfire. Keeps the guns; but let us all get to know each other first. It is hard to kill or hate someone you have looked into the eyes of/shared genuine thoughts and feelings with. We are all more alike rather than different. This is why some of my greatest memories involve big city/international pubs. BTW...if I am keeping the Marley, I am keeping the smores..
