Slow Start
It has been a VERY long day for me today. That being said, the Posts going up for Wednesday morning will be slow to start but once I get going it should pick up fairly quick as there are numerous Posts of what I feel are of great importance. So be easy on me in the morning Folks and things will come together sooner than you think. I'm just not prepared to sit up half the night pre posting information, I need a break. Thanks for understanding. Consider it our version of a late delivery for the first time in three years. LOL
Dee, Dee, Deeee Award Of The Year!
If this doesn't spell out the incompetence of the City of Salisbury AND Long Fence, I don't know what will.
OK, see the fence around this Park on E. Williams Street? YOU tell me where you get into that Park! Click on the images to enlarge them and you will see for yourself, THERE IS NO WAY IN!
These IDIOTS fenced it in and FORGOT to put in a gate. The children of this neighborhood have to climb over the fence to get in and I'm telling you, I stood there and took these pictures and there is no way in.
To prove it even further, look how high the grass is! They can't get in there to cut it!!!!! Barrie Tilghman, you're an Idiot, you lead like an Idiot and you should have stayed home to cook and clean house because you just suck at what you do!
Now why should Joe Albero have to drive around these communities to see all this BS? Why doesn't the Mayor get out there and see these things for herself? Because she's got me to do it for her. However, I'm going to make her look like the Idiot that she is every time I see stuff like this. Enough Is Enough!

Thrashers Gets Tagged
The legendary Thrashers French Fries just got tagged in Ocean City. I would have to assume that the cameras along the Boardwalk will catch these individuals that did such a thing but it also proves there's more Gang Activity on the Shore. The good part is, when their doors are open, you can't see it.

"Joe,
I am fuming right now so I decided to write to you...i'm guessing a therapy to calm down. I just came back from bringing my son to pre-school. On my return home headed south on Rt 13 in Delmar I was behind a green dodge coupe. As we pass the weight stations this little head holding a sippy cup pops up between the seats just hanging out enjoying the view. I had to double and triple check my eyes because I really didn't believe I was seeing such a young child just walking around the back seat. As we approached the light at the MSP barracks I pulled up next to the driver and now for sure saw a NO MORE THAN 2YR OLD just hanging out. I rolled down my window and asked the young driver if she had a car seat. She replied, "yeah." I responded with, "well she isn't she in it?" To which this lovely young lady answered, "She doesn't like it, and what business is it of yours?" I had plenty of responses, but I just stared at her and picked up my cell and dialed the barracks. I hope they got her as I gave them the description of her car and the tag number, but who knows. She doesn't like it? WTF? I just hope they nailed her!"
I have done the same a number of times. Police Officers LOVE it when they can catch someone breaking the law this way. It's about the CHILD. Great work!

OCPD Press Release
OCEAN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES ‘DRUNK DRIVING: OVER THE LIMIT, UNDER ARREST’ IN EFFORT TO SAVE LIVES
The Ocean City Police Department will be joining thousands of law enforcement and highway safety agencies across the country by taking part in the /Drunk Driving: Over the Limit, Under Arrest/ crackdown campaign against impaired driving. During the campaign, which will be enforced from August 15 until September 1, 2008, Ocean City officers will be out in force conducting saturation patrols and using undercover officers to get more drunk drivers off the road.
The national /Drunk Driving: Over the Limit, Under Arrest/ impaired driving crackdown campaign is a prevention program organized by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The focal point for the campaign is the combination of high-visibility enforcement and a heightened public awareness through advertising and publicity.
Drunk driving is one of the most dangerous crimes in the United States. According to the campaign’s website, in 2006, more than 13,000 people died in highway crashes involving a driver or motorcycle rider with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08 or higher. “In Ocean City we see far too many people who have been driving under the influence of alcohol,” stated Ocean City Police Chief Bernadette A. DiPino. “Driving drunk is simply not worth the risks that people take. Not only do violators risk injuring or killing themselves, but also injuring or killing someone else.”
DiPino urges Ocean City residents and visitors who have been drinking to use alternative means of transportation. “We are actually quite lucky to live in Ocean City,” DiPino added. “We live in a city that offers numerous options for a safe ride home, including the Ocean City buses and several taxicab companies.”
Chief DiPino also recommends that people designate a driver before going out in Ocean City. “Many establishments offer free non-alcoholic beverages to designated drivers,” DiPino remarked. “By choosing to be a designated driver you are choosing to not only ensure the safety of yourself, but the safety of your friends.”
The effort of /Drunk Driving: Over the Limit, Under Arrest/ is supported by $11 million in paid-national advertising to help put everyone on notice that driving under the influence will not be tolerated, now more then ever.

WORRYS AFTER 50!
“WORRYS AFTER 50!”
I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION AFTER WAKING UP MAKING THE SAME SOUNDS THAT MY DAD DID WHEN HE GOT UP, THAT I AM MY DAD!
THEN I STARTED TO REALIZE THAT AFTER LIVING A HALF CENTURY THAT ALL THE WORRYS IN LIFE WERE OUT OF MY CONTROL. SO WHY DO IT? NOW
I HAVE AN AFTER 50 ATTITUDE OF “ OH WELL, WHATS NEXT?”
THEN I NOTICED SOME EXAMPLES THAT I STEPPED BACK AND LOOKED AT: LIKE PEOPLE THAT WORK 60 HOURS A WEEK AND LOOK TWICE THEIR AGE AND HAVE NO FINGER NAILS. WHY DO WE DO THAT?
ANOTHER GOOD EXAMPLE IS MY WIFE WHO GOES THRU A PANIC BECAUSE SHE IS HAVING A BIRTHDAY PAST THE MID 40’S POINT! (NOTICE HOW I WORDED
THAT GUYS WITH NO ACTUAL AGE NUMBER) THAT WAS BECAUSE SHE TURNED ME ONTO THIS BLOG AND READS IT EVERYDAY!! LOVE YA CUTES!
WE NEED TO STOP PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY THE YOUNGER PEOPLE WHO STRESS OVER LITTLE CRAP.
WE HAVE SO MUCH IN FRONT OF US THAT IS SO FREE AND RELAXING, OCEAN, BEACH, KIDS, GRANDKIDS, OUTDOORS, ETC. THAT WE OVERLOOK EVERYDAY. LET LIFE DO WHAT IT WANTS, IT’S GOING TO ANYWAY RIGHT?
I’M LIMITING MY WORRYS FROM NOW ON TO WETHER I HAVE ENOUGH MONEY FOR GAS IN MY MOTORCYCLE.
SINCE I DID TRY TO STOP ALL THE UNESSARY WORRYS I STARTED TO NOTICE I HAVE A PRETTY GOOD LIFE, A WIFE WHO LOVES ME AND I ADORE, GOOD KIDS AND GRANDKIDS (THAT EAT ALL OUR FOOD) A COUPLE MOTORCYCLES THAT RELIEVE MY STRESS, GOOD HEALTH, SO WHY TORTURE MYSELF WITH STRESS AND WORRYS.
MY SUGGESTION TO EVERYONE AND MAINLY YOUNGER PEOPLE, WHO IS JUST ABOUT EVERYONE COMPARED TO MY AGE, IS TO EASE UP. LOOK AROUND,
IT AIN’T THAT BAD, TAKE ADVATAGE OF ALL THE FRESH AND FREE STUFF AROUND, GET OUT AND BE ACTIVE . STAY OUT OF THE WORRY RUT. STAY
WITHIN THE LEGAL LIMITS AND REMEMBER YOU CAN’T STOP LIFE AND IT WILL JUST BE SOMETHING NEW TOMORROW TO WORRY ABOUT “IF YOU LET IT!”

National Farmers Market Week August 3rd through 9th Buy Local & BUY AMERICAN
This week has been designated as National Farmers Market Week by the USDA. It sounds like a pretty good idea after driving to Southern Maryland last weekend and stopping at three different small roadside produce stands.
One stand had the sweetest watermelon I have tasted so far this summer. Then there is the small peach orchard off the road behind the 'Wye Tree Service' on the Route 50 West. We bought Stephanie a 'Peck' of fresh, sweet and delicious peaches and now wish we had purchased a bushel.
Supporting farmers markets is a great way to keep your shopping dollars here in the USA and even better with someone local, who you can look in the eye.
Here is the USDA definition of a Farmers Market:
A farmer's market is one in which farmers, growers, or producers from a defined local area sell their own produce directly to the public. They are usually held out-of-doors, in public spaces, and all products sold have been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed by the farmers. In addition, farmers' markets often feature produce that is grown naturally or organically, meats that are raised humanely on pasture, handmade farmstead cheeses, eggs and poultry from free-range fowl, as well as heirloom produce and heritage breeds of meat and fowl. Farmers markets have continued to rise in popularity, mostly due to the growing consumer interest in obtaining fresh products directly from the farm.
National Farmers Market Week – August 3-9
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Farmers markets are gaining popularity as consumers increasingly appreciate locally grown foods and other products. In addition to finding fresh, good-tasting foods like handmade cheeses, organic fruits and vegetables, and humanely raised meats, customers can get to know their local farmers and engage in their community.
National Farmers Market Week, which is recognized August 3-9, seems like a good time to find a farmers market near you!
So go find a local farmers market, BUY AMERICAN and enjoy the fruits of the land.
What's the Motive Behind Salisbury Hiring a "Community Organizer"?
Did you know that Salisbury taxpayers are paying for a "community organizer" to help revitalize the Church Street / Doverdale neighborhood? Did you know that this area of the city seems to be getting all kinds of "special treatment"? Did you know that Salisbury Mayor Barrie Tilghman and her husband own property in that area? A Hat Tip The The Salisbury Police Officers
Put your seat belt on Ladies & Gentlemen because this Post is going to knock you off your seat.
It turns out one of the Salisbury Police Officers was sent back to the Police Academy recently to take a course in Remedial Constitutional Law.
Allegedly this Officer has excessive force charges on his record and again had allegedly done illegal searches, allegedly cursing at people during traffic stops and allegedly at the request of fellow Officers and citizens he was forced to go back to the Academy.
This is excellent work by the 3rd floor Staff at the SPD as well as his fellow Officers to ask that this move be made. The risk this Officer could bring to the Taxpayers is of a very serious nature, should someone sue the City for this Officer getting out of line and going overboard.
It has also come to my attention that this Officer is also going to allegedly be forced to take an Anger Management Course as well. However, this may not even happen because I have been told that this particular Officer allegedly packed his things 2 hours before the second final day of the Constitutional Law Class and left. He then allegedly called in sick on the final day, not finishing the course.
Being a Police Officer is one hell of a responsibility and when there's a bad apple in the group showing signs of going over the line, they either take this slap on the wrist seriously or they fail to complete these courses and continue to be a serious liability.
My hope, (should all of this be 100% correct) is that the SPD terminate this particular Officer and simply move on. Everyone can be replaced.

Somerset County Questions?
I have been working on a story about the Warden and former Sheriff's Deputy Mr. Purnell. The Daily Times has been giving this situation some press lately and as I have been researching it for the past week or so, many questions come to mind.
One, if the Warden before him was let go because of liability issues, why did they hire Purnell, fully knowing he was in the middle of a lawsuit where he allegedly served a warrant and the person he was serving fled. Mind you, he was simply serving a warrant and Purnell admittedly shot the man in the back or elbow, (I've heard two different stories on that), even though he didn't have a weapon. Allegedly Purnell, (a Sheriff's Deputy at the time) was reaching for his teaser gun, (the perp was running away from him) and instead mistakenly reach for his gun by accident and then shot the man.
OK, so that's the story. Now, how in the heck could Somerset County hire a guy as a Warden with such a case and have fired the Warden before him because of liability issues?
Then I'd like to know, who paid his legal fees to defend his case? I'll give you a guess but that's all it is at this point and time, a guess.
Some say Purnell is a great guy, some say he's an a$$hole. I don't know the man but I can tell you, people in Somerset County are PISSED! For what it's worth, the guy he shot is black.
Let's hear what our friends in Somerset County have to say about this issue.
It should be noted that Mr. Henry, (the man who was shot) had 3 warrants out for his arrest. One was for child support and two were from escape. I'm recently told that Mr. Henry shoved Purnell and then tried to run, that's when he was shot. On another note, I'm told the States Attorneys Office released Mr. Purnell from any charges within ONE HOUR after the shooting. I've also been told the legal bills were paid by LGIT.

The Liquor Dispensary Board Meets With County Council At 10:00 Ron Alessi Style
True to his typical form I am told that ALL Liquor Dispensaries will be closed this morning due to Ron Alessi instructing ALL Employees to attend the Council Meeting this morning.
This tactic may be somewhat useful in a Court of Law but NOT in a County Council Meeting. The Council Members will probably get pissed off knowing the TAXPAYERS are paying for all of these people to attend this meeting.
Secondly, (if I were on the Council) this would not intimidate me whatsoever. Ron Alessi and Jim Rapp regularly pulled this kind of crap in the past, almost as if they felt they were the right hand of God. I mean, why not, everyone is there to support them, right? WRONG!
Hopefully the Taxpayers will also be there to see this show and if they're not, believe me, my photos will be up later this morning showing the scene we had on hand. We'll fill you in later this morning as to how things went but if you're in the least bit interested, I wouldn't miss this meeting if you have the time.

Quote Of The Day
"In defense of modern people and all their dieting, I believe they really can't eat like we did because they don't physically work as hard." "These days people are so paranoid of a little too much fat. They buy skim milk, margarine, and "fat free" everything. No wonder there's so many unhappy people. FAT IS FLAVOR!!" By: Burr Morse
