Delegate Mike Smigiel Visits Salisbury News
Remember this Post I put up the other day referencing the Homeless, Mayor Tilghman, Police Chief Webster and the Town of Elkton having to settle for $7,500.00 per homeless person? "Mayor Tilghman & Chief Webster Better Read This Post" Check this out. Delegate Mike Smigiel came to Salisbury News and left the following message.
"At least in Salisbury you know who is responsible for the problem. In Elkton its see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. No one has any recollection of who ordered what. (Not the Police Chief, the Mayor or Commissioners) The A.C.L.U. has the whole town running afraid to enforce even obvious violations of the law. I am sure the settlement has only enticed others to move into the area.
Believe it or not the mess under the bridge is still here after two weeks and we have not seen a word about it in the press. Keep up the good work."
Mike, thanks for stopping by and showing you care. It's a Holiday and you're on the Internet checking out information on the problems the Homeless are facing. My hat is tipped to you Sir. Joe Albero
Joe:
ReplyDeleteWanna put a friendly bet on whether Barrie boasts about this on her show on PAC14?
Maybe she will have Chiefy on the show to help her brag and posture about her "leadership".
Joe If the homeless need blankets we have 1/2 dozen new blankets. If the mare takes them away we will give them a new one.
ReplyDeleteJoe, approximately 10 PM tonight units dispatched for a shooting at Center City Exxon near the hospital. Subject found in the outpatient parking lot with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. SPD and EMS units on the scene.
ReplyDeleteChiefy, bubba, shaimy and da mare we aint got no crime in salburry.
Well Delegate, we do know who is behind most of the corruption here in Salisbury and have provided this information to the States Attorney, Attorney General, State Prosecutor, and the FBI yet no one other than those of us that live here can seem to find any thing wrong with what these criminals are doing. Do you have any suggestions as to who might be interested in cleaning house for us other than the intimidated voters?
ReplyDeleteHey Joe look at the News story idea the Daily Rag got from SBYNews.com.
ReplyDelete"UPPER SHORE: Elkton has to pay 9 homeless people for razing campsite"
ACLU pursues a second lawsuit for shelter
Isn't it nice that the reporters don't even have to leave their computers to find a news story.
Joe:
ReplyDeleteThe News Journal had a piece this morning on the Elkton mess. Here's part of what they said about Elkton just charing in a breaking up the homeless camp. It's definitely a problem places have to deal with, but you think they'd get it right. Get social services involved, talk with their lawyers ahead of time. No instead they do it after, then the local attorney isn't sufficiently qualified to handle the ACLU and the law in the area of homlessness so they (or their insurance co) have to hire speicalist to defend them. The specialist says pay them something rather than go to court. It would be so easy to get this right in the first place and do something to actually resolve the problem. Heck just a little advance notice, if it were documented would seem to go a long way in defending the place, rather than just breaking up whatever little amount they do have.
We've at least go one politican speaking up about it up this way and he just started his blog. He's getting comments from local people that aren't appearing in the local newspaper too.

Good luck with things down your way. Hopefully your bunch won't cost you a lot of money. Keep up the good work with the blog too. We read it everday on this way and people finally have started several up here in Cecil County.
"News Journal -- Donnie Brewer lost his most prized possessions when city officials two years ago bulldozed a homeless campsite on the edge of Elkton Marina Park. The treasures included a family Bible and photos of his grandparents. It was just sentimental things,' he said. 'We didn’t have much, but what we had was ours.'
Earlier this month, Elkton agreed to pay for Brewer’s losses when it settled a suit by the American Civil Liberties Union that accused town officials of destroying the camp without giving proper notice.
Brewer and eight others will get about $7,500 each."
Don't expect Rudy Cane to do anything about it, Bubba's his boy.
