WHO WANTS A PUPPY FOR THANKSGIVING

OK, look, I truly cannot thank ALL of you enough for getting involved and adopting so many animals from the Humane Society. So this is a very special Post because this time it's all about PUPPIES!!!!!

If YOU are interested in a Puppy, know that today is the only day you'll be able to get in there and adopt one before Thanksgiving. So here's the number to call. 410-749-7603. Tell them Joe sent you from Salisbury News or that you saw the Puppy on the Blog.

Here's what Linda had to say about the animals we Posted the other day,

"Hi Joe,

Here are some photos and also, Belle, TJ, Gobbler, Diamond, Oliver, and the Gems (kittens) are all adopted! What a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving! Thanks again for your help in making it happen.

Linda"

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!

UPDATE: The Humane Society is open today till 5:00. They will be closed Thursday and Friday but open again on Saturday from 10-4. These puppies won't actually be able to leave the Humane Society until next week because they still need their shots. However, you can go up there and pick one out and apply for one of them today.

Also, the Mother is also available and she's 2 years old. She's brown in color, unlike the puppies. I'm told that many people who have gone to the Humane Society because of Posts on this Blog are also adopting other animals there not Posted here. So you never know what you're going to find once you get there.

  1. Way to go Joe. It's good to know this blog is going to the dogs (and cats) - in a good way. As an animal lover I really appreciate you doing this.

  2. Honestly, this has become my favorite part of this entire Blog, Yes, even more fun than teasing Barrie Tilghman and Chiefy Webster.

You have to admit, these pupies are absolutely adoreable.

  9. My husband and I went to the Humane Society today and chose a kitty cat. We get to pick her up on December 11th, after she's spayed. I'm so excited to add her to our family of 3 humans and 2 furkids.

  10. Can you adopt one if you aren't from Wicomico County? Tinsel and Ribbon are so adorable.

  11. anonymous 3:40,

    I can't see why you couldn't. A home is a home is a home is a home.

  12. our spaniel mix was adopted from there 6 years ago and has been the best friend a guy could have. we live in worcester county and all they do is an address check to make sure your address is suitable for a pet.

example a one bedroom apt may not be suitable for a great dane.

    or

example no cats adopted with in 30 feet of chinese take outs.

    lol just kidding!!!!

very favorite part of your blog
too , Joe. Something posotive is
    happening. "You" reached out---
    & look what's been accomplished!!!
One person can make a difference.
Thanks, & keep up the good work
for those 4 legged children. I

  17. Joe, I want to commend BOTH you and Linda Lugo for getting differences put aside and doing something wonderful for the ANIMALS.

And in time for a great spirit of the season. Kudos to you both!

Too bad Barrie = Gary, Shanie and Louise don't "get it." Their hatred of anyone and anything that isn't them is one big reason I can't wait to see all of them out of office.

They can bash Campbell, Cohen, Ireton and various citizens all they want. I know for a fact that the three of them and other citizens are able to work of differing opinions. But no one can work with Barrie and the Dream Team II unless it's their way or the hiway.

The chorus agreeing with Cohen and Campbell at the end of the meeting this past Monday night was the sound of political survival sucking up in the absence of the mayor's iron note passing.

    Sorry to get off topic.

Again, congrats to you and Linda Lugo for doing something great for the animals. Sure wish I could adopt right now, but sadly, can't yet.

Good for you. Glad you had a great experience. There are a lot of people who didn't. And, there's a lot more to see about your friend, Linda, than you know.

  19. I think youre doing a wonderful thing helping to find home for these animals, Joe. What a great community service! Funny how our four-legged friends can make people's differences disappear. Great job!
