Quote Of The Day

"Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy. The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent vice of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries. Some regard private enterprise as if it were a predatory tiger to be shot. Others look upon it as a cow to be milked. Few realize it for what it is - the horse that pulls the whole cart."

-Winston Churchill

  1. The american electorate just elected the first real Socilaist to the presidency and I am sure that most of the voters who voted for Obama have no knowledge of the possible dire consequences of their actions!

  3. Nancy Pelosi is already getting fired up to change America as we know it. When BHO is sworn in they will have their agenda all lined up for better or worse.

  4. So I guess you are sending back your true socialistic Social Security benefit. That's pure socialism but I bet you take it. The government's takeover and support (federaliziation?) of the banking system, selectively helping certain firms, is the same thing. Its here, and its not always bad. Go socialism.

  5. Obviously neither you nor some of your readers know what the word Socialism means.

They seem to think that it is "evil" sort of like "Communism" or something similar, while it "was" or "is" in its strictist sense, that is not where we are in this country as far as I can see.It appears that we are trying to balance giving democracy to all persons, it is impossible, (for instance there would be 400 religious holidays per year)so we have to say certain things have to be done for the "masses" not for each individual group or person. So, we have a form of retirement, a form of medical coverage, a form of schooling, that are "socialistic" it is a function of population...300 million people cannot all have their "way" we have to find a way to do the best we can for as many as we can.

To me socialisim means a way of balancing the economy, and democracy is a way of philosophically governing the country.

There is a Republic Democracy, and a Social Democracy, if you would like, please read the description of democracy on Wikipdia
