GANNETT SETS NEW RECORD LOW AGAIN

The Gannett Co., Inc. - (The Daily Times parent company) - set a new record low moments ago eclipsing their previous record low. The stock dipped to $7.40/share before slightly rebounding.

Just how low Gannett will go remains to be seen. But the former media giant is in dire financial shape as their stock tries to find solid footing.

  1. Still higher than the other media listed on the site--except for the Post. :)

  2. Beezer --Why do you take such joy in the misfortunes of the Gannett Co.? Don't you have anything else to offer to the readers of this blog ? There are a lot of local people that will suffer a big financial hardship if they lose their jobs.

  4. Who cares. This is getting old Joe. Every company is having hard times now and we don't see you posting about them. Atleast they are keeping jobs here and running away. We you do keep trying to drive them away.

  5. This is getting old. We all know Gannett is dumping. I, for one, don't care and will soon stop coming here if this continues to be the headline of the day.

Go ahead and fire away! Tell me not to let the door hit my ass on the way out.

  6. RE: 2:38 Post

If you had your letter writing censored as much as I have, you would know why.

For way to long The Daily Times has tried to make news as opposed to covering the news. It's traditionally been their way or the highway.

    Now you know.

  7. I understand exactly what is going on at The Daily Times. Russia in its coldest days - (propaganda) - didn't cover-up news like The Daily Times. So many times they have slanted to the detriment of the public.

  8. By the looks of the postings it appears we have alot of Daily Times reporters covering this show.

I think Beezer has struck a cord.

  9. Dinosaur you are talking to a guy that does not care if these people lose thier jobs. In fact if they do, he will probably try to take the credit for it. Then write about how he was the first to report it.

  10. I can't stand the "Daily Slime".
I am certainly not employed by them.
I agree with the others that this is getting way old.

  11. The Daily Times is soon become the SBY Times or Salisbury Times.

They can't take much more of declining sales and ad revenue. Everything is going out, and nothing-in.

  12. Regarding 3:43 Post

I don't think they are The Daily Times reporters commenting on this blog.

I'm quite certain it is the managing editors. You see The Daily Times has lost most of their original reporting staff so all that are left is the staff.

  13. Some MSM have treated Joe's blog the same way. people looked down on him because he isn't MSM? Well the MSM certainly picked up his story this morning with his scoop of pemberton's raid.

Don't you think that the lawsuits against Joe weren't so much about Joe being over the top, but they were trying to find out who his sources were? Let the founding constitution rule. I doubt Ben Franklin was considered MSM either.

Until the paper prints real news and does it truthfully they will never earn respect from the citizens anywhere. Respect isn't to be just given, it must be earned.
