Duvall Calls It Quits?

"THATS IT

This seems like an appropriate moment to chuck the whole blogging caper, go underground, and persue other endeavors; including, without limitation, the protection of assets from dissapation, confiscation and redistribution.

My heartfelt thanks to those ( who know who they are) whose contributions of leads and links, as well as general encouragement, were an essential ingredient in whatever measure of success we achieved.

"AUX BARRICADES ", or, if you prefer "SECESSION NOW"."

Are you sure it wasn't the vision of seeing all those comments in a matter of a few hours on my Blog that finally made you realize no one is viewing your Blog anyway?

Nevertheless, thanks for all that you have done Bill. My guess is that you'll be back anyway or you're reaching for some serious attention but if I'm wrong, (which obviously I've experienced a lot of that lately, lol) thank you for all that you have given over the years. I, (of all people) can clearly say that I feel your pain and know just what it takes to do this each and every day. Enjoy your retirement in good health.

  2. How come you couldn't be as gracious to Duvall as McCain was to Obama? Duvall did offer a different kind of blog than yours, Joe; while your readership is unquestionably much larger that his, I didn't realize that blogs need to be so competitive. Best wishes, Mr. Duvall.

  3. My god, I don't know anything about this man (really) but that photo here makes Gary Busey look like Hugh Jackman. If he is too tired/run down from being too political and inside on the computer too much; this might be a good time to get some sunshine and fresh air after all.......life is just too short.

  4. Bill's "Bubba Comegys" will not be forgotten when he becomes "R Necks Mare"!

  5. Huh, didn't know he was still on.

You are on target. Bill was the first blog I read some years ago. I have enjoyed everyday that I was able to read it and he had an unique perspective on his topics.
Enjoy your next venture, Mr. Duvall.

  7. Bill, you're the man. Thanks for the great work within our county.

    Then there's our mayor, "Czarinna"!

    Sorry if it's misspelled, Barrie.

    And remember "Howdy Doody" Dunn.

  9. Please, kind sir/ma'am, must I remember Howdy Doody Dunn -- that's really sickening and I'm hung over from last night.

  10. 12:53/1:51. Your national election hangover may last a couple days; but don't hibernate like a bear now-due to historic voter turnout, the local iron is blazing hot for your striking. More importantly to many of you is the fact that your fat, entrenched local politicians (due for medieval referendum at the polling place in early April, if I recall correctly) will now take every opportunity to blend into the wallpaper background (like the Geico gecko)through the national president celebration/inaugeration/ deep south Friday evening effigy burnings, Thanksgiving holiday, Festivus/Christmas/Kwanza/Chanuka, New Years Eve and Day, Super Bowl Sunday, Valentines Day, the Ides of March, and Martin Luther The King Day, just so you don't notice how close THAT very imperative election is. Take a couple pain relievers of your choice or a hair of the dog that bit you; but if you want to change what is happening now & later in Salisbury, the time is right now to un-ass yourselves from the Lazy Boy and make sure you and your fellow city voters are registered and have a ride to the polls (gas prices are really cheap right now....some of us may have already spent the entire national election day doing just this for shut in/elderly voters). This is actually a battle which, YOU (by official ballots cast and not by chicken guano anonymous comments), can win. Do you want to win? Sound off like you got a pair!!

  11. Eat a turd Joe. - That's funny.

  12. Bill isn't accepting comments on his blog anymore.

I hope he keeps doing it and keeps the history available. The old mall stuff, Czarina and Howdy Doody stuff alone is worth its weight in gold.

No offense, Joe, but I think his comment of you as "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" has some truth to it. You've been really vicious this election. Even Harrison got really edgy.

Still support your blog -- sort of -- but I'll stay anonymous, thanks, not that I post very much (this is my third or fourth, I think). I'm beginning to wonder which Joe Albero I'd be talking to at any given time.

  13. His blog was great when he had inside info on the political scams. Then it turned into "Click here" crap. I will always remember it for the time when it was in it's prime. Those were good days.

  14. Yeah, once his COEIU agent Paul Wilber was exposed it was all over for Bill.

  15. His COEIU was not and let me once again say WAS NOT Paul Wilber. His mole was Larry Dodd. Bet money that you won't print this. But this is the truth.

  16. Bill Duvall knew how to spell...a lost art....eh Salisbury news?

  17. Ahhh Bill Duvall torturing the Czarina to the point of her calling out the FBI for allegedly hacking into city computers. Mr. Albero at one time dubbed him the Godfather of the Blogs. His sense of humor entertained me daily. I too shall miss the musings of Mr. William Duvall, Esq.

Enjoy life, you only get one turn at it.
