"WHY has the north corridor road (Beaglin Park Drive) not been opened yet? It has been finished for more than a month complete with street lights, and is still closed. The daily Slime announced this completion a month ago, but has had no more news on it since then Is it condemned already?"
OMG it is time to change the subject folks! Can you take your McCain and Harris signs off off your blog...McCain lost and Andy is going to lose!
ReplyDeleteAll we have to do is move the barricades like you did last weekend.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the public is left in the dark about this. This should have been open. I guess it has to be blessed by Barry Mare.
ReplyDeleteanon 9:58=Call county exective and u will get your answer.
ReplyDeletejust drive around them, thats what I do. Yes this road was able to be opened months ago, I can't see the rational on why it's not. I guess Barrie hasn't set the photo op date yet.
ReplyDeleteit's open as far as i know.
ReplyDeleteWho would you contact about an 'opening' date? It looks done to me!
ReplyDeleteThe City is being responsible and making sure the warranties and contracts are in place. It is the correct thing to do.
ReplyDeleteIf you dont realize, the signal at Zion rd was just activated yesterday. The state pulled the equipment for inspection since they will be maintaining that signal. The road would not be safe to open without a operating signal at that intersection. If it was, and someone was killed, then you would be saying "why did they open the road without a signal". It will only be a couple more weeks. Quit b!tching. Youve been this long without it. BTW, going around a road closed barricade is 10 points on your license. That will be great for your insurance.
ReplyDeleteHey Joe, whats the update on the potential scandal at the collector road. I hear the one of the recipients of the 750K change order is none other than a gentleman by the last name of LEWIS, and yes he is related to Ray Lewis.
ReplyDeleteI heard from a friend of mine that works for state highway that they will not open that road until the guard rails are completed.
ReplyDeleteSafety first. Go figure.
I heard by the 18th
ReplyDeleteThe County Council can't even tell us when it will open. They do not even know. One of the members spoke to me about it a few weeks ago, the answer was that he would get back to me when they find out...still nothing...We are allowed to be frustrated by this because that is my money jsut sitting there doing nothing. The way things are done around here, by the time they open it, it will be closed again for repaving.
ReplyDeleteThe county is the wrong place to be asking about this road. If you remember, the county competed their part of the collector road years ago. It has been the City of Salisbury who has been dragging butt on this project all along.
ReplyDeleteCall the city and ask them what the holdup is.
Another reason why we should combine all the government in this county. Save money and get things done, and hey may actually get things done faster.
ReplyDeleteI have used it several times over the last week. I just go around the barricades. It is disgusting that they don't open it. Works just fine and I am sure the Churches and Salisbury Christian School will be glad to get some of the traffic off of their road.
ReplyDeleteThey are waiting for OMalley to come down and have a ribbon cutting.
ReplyDeletewatch out those who are going around the barricades! Ive seen a county sherriff sitting there for a couple days now in the mornings-just giving a friendly heads up :)
ReplyDeletei'm in the know and you're all wrong. The date has been determined. you'll know soon.
ReplyDeleteOk know it what is it??
ReplyDeleteI think it is supposed to be around November 20, and yes there will definetely be a ribbon cutting ceromony. The county has had their phases complete for years. (the section where kelly rd is, for over 20 years), I guess the city is going to celebrate getting their a$$es on the move finally. Too bad they will choke it so full of signals that it wont even save much time.
