Sad for the family - Bud was a heck of a nice guy, and I enjoyed knowing him.

ReplyDeleteOne need only ask to learn about the masons or see the inside of the Lodge.
ReplyDeleteA very educational day trip can be made to the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria VA.
You can't miss it as you travel across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge on the Washington Beltway. It's the tower on the hill to your right.
Use Google for more information on the site and directions to get there.

this would make a nice post joe, this is not the place.(sorry for your loss).
ReplyDeleteBud was a great teacher and mentor of the craft. He will be missed in the hearts of many.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I understand what "anonymous 12:51" means, by their comment they left... Mr. Purnell was very well known in the area. He was a land surveyor and is personally responsible for the mapping done on Somerset County, and parts of Wicomico as well. The family/friend probably just wanted the word out, and how dare you question the dealings of a blog it is all up to Joe anyway. If you don't like what he decides to post here go start your own blog.
ReplyDelete1:11,meant no disrespect to Mr Purnell what so ever. I thought alot of people might be interested in just exactly what the Masonic lodge is. I thought it disrespectful to talk anymore about it on an obituary post, i thought it would be wrong. The Masons have history back to the founding of this nation and thought it would make a great informative post. Sorry you took it the wrong way.
