Incident: DUI Enforcement
Date of Incident: 11 July 2008
Location: Wicomico County, MD
Suspect: William A. Pitts, 41, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 11 July 2008, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Sobriety Checkpoint on Lillian Street in Hebron, MD. Between the hours of 9:45 PM and 11:15 PM, eighty vehicles passed through the checkpoint. No indicators of alcohol use were detected among any of the vehicles that passed through. Immediately following the checkpoint, members of the Sheriff’s Office conducted dedicated patrols looking for impaired drivers. During this period, William A. Pitts of Salisbury was arrested for Driving under the Influence of Alcohol on Rt. 50 at Civic Avenue. Additionally an underage party was located in the 800 block of West College Avenue where six subjects were cited for underage Possession of Alcohol.
Sheriff Mike Lewis would like to remind our drivers to please think before they drink alcohol and get behind the wheel. The Sheriff’s Office will be conducting more DUI checkpoints and DUI patrols throughout the year.
Incident: Child Abuse
Date of Incident: 14 July 2008
Location: 800 block of West Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Brittany Nicole Davis, 19, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 14 July 2008, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office was on patrol in the area of West Road and Booth Street in Salisbury, MD when the deputy observed an adult striking a small child. The deputy witnessed Brittany Davis, 19, strike a four year old twice, with enough force to knock the child off its feet and down to the ground. The deputy arrested Davis for the assault on the child and due to the force used, charged Davis with Child Abuse.
Davis was transported to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where she was processed and charged. After an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Davis was held in the Detention Center on $25,000.00 bond.
Incident: Drive Revoked
Date of Incident: 14 July 2008
Location: U.S. 13 S/B south of Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Cassidy C. Young, 27, Cambridge, MD
Narrative: On 14 July 2008, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle operated by Cassidy Young of Cambridge for speeding. Upon making contact with Young, the deputy learned that Young’s Maryland Driver’s license was revoked and had been revoked for more than a year. Young was arrested and taken to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and taken before the District Court Commissioner. After his initial appearance, Young was held on $25,000.00 bond in the Detention Center.
Someone 15 years older than that Brittany needs to strick her twice. It is a shame because it is probably a cycle. My heart breaks for the 4 year old. Sad. I am sickened.

ReplyDeleteCharges = padding the books/cooking the books call it what you will. Pick admitted to it yet again. Last time I looked these were illegal activities.
Where is the States Attorney? Where is the State Prosecutor? Where is the Sheriff?
