Update On The Wicomico County Humane Society

As I am still not willing to expose information/documents, (at this point) I have been told it would be OK for me to "reassure everyone action is being taken by the proper authorities."

Once this investigation is over, (I'm told I'll be the first to know) I will then expose such said information and documents. Just connect the dots and remember, Gary Comegys headed the Board that was designed to oversee the activities for the Humane Society at the time! His sudden resignation IMO is extremely questionable.

That's all I have to say about that. More to come. Remember, we're working at a Governmental pace here.

  1. If you are not going to support your statements why mention it at all and create feelings of mistrust for the HS.

  4. Joe, I think I understand why you put up the original post, even if these dufuses don't! Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was about Bubba's resignation and his attempted CYA!

  5. It's unusual that the investigating person/body will make you the first to know. So you're ahead of the board of the Humane Society, its director and the County Council? If those officials want to know the results of the investigation, they'll have to read this blog? That's definitely a convoluted, nonsensical chain-of-command.

Yes, we who can spell "doofus" did understand that the purpose of the original post was to point out Gary's CYA behavior. That is a rather evident conclusion, is it not? Our concern was that rampant, unsubstantiated theories of what was being investigated/covered up were posted. Accusations ranged from hostile work environment, improper euthanization of animals, misappropriation of funds, lack of accountability, unsafe surgeries, etc. Until details of the investigation are made public, our point was that the attempt to smear Gary had gotten rather far afield. However, each doofus who commented on the unfairness of the groundless speculation appreciates your bulletin from the land of the obvious.

  7. you know everyone seems to be focused on Linda at the HS they really should be looking at the ones that manipulate Linda and i will only give initials A.T. and K.B.!!!!!!!!!!

  8. The care of the animals and accountability of monies are what should be the meat of this whole thing. I could care less about sexual preferences however in a professional environment it shouldn't be advertized. Whether that goes on I have no idea and am not judging.

Let's not forget the animals and their care are the subject.

  9. Would you believe? BOTH the city and county governments confirm that there is NO ongoing official investigation of the Humane Society. They did not say, "No comment" or "I can't discuss that." Either all of them are in the dark or lying or they're not investigating.

  10. If it's criminal it would not be appropriate for them to comment.

Early release of information would be like telling the crack dealers, hey, the man just drove by.

  11. anonymous 3:19,

Wicomico County is NOT conducting the investigation. It's MUCH bigger than that. Hence Comegys resignation.

I agree that keeping an investigation secret is the smart thing to do. Of course, the existence of an investigation should not be publicized until it's over. That cat seemed to have been let out of the bag, so to speak.
Well, Joe now says it isn't the county doing the investigating which is what county officials said.

  13. If this investigation is MUCH bigger than the county, one might assume it is state or federal. Truly, it defies reason and legal protocol that this blog would be "the first to know" the results. Why should state and/or federal investigators use any blog for their initial reporting? If they are that casual with procedure, one wonders about their professionalism.
