If the policy is to close down a place who has no water, why was Watermans still open? Did they send someone to the water departmen to pay the bill and get service to cut it back on?
Let me say this as well. In my post yesterday where I showed the items that were wrong, the Health Department informed me that each and every one of those items was in violation. Now, obviously they were corrected and that's a VERY good thing. However, it took a complaint for something to be done about it and let me assure you, that's NOT how to run a business.
A Professional would respect the restaurant and make sure IF the Health Department walked in, none of these violations would be an issue.
The idea is to STAY in business and not close their doors. This hurts your customer base, your local tax base and also your Landlord, (in most cases).
It's NOT a matter of shutting them down but waking them up, even if it means in a BIG WAY! If you can't run or manage your restaurant, SELL IT or shut it down but don't let it get to a point you just don't care any more and people's health becomes jeopardized.
I'll close with, it sure did get quiet since this Post went up. Next time, know who you're challenging!
Good words Joe. Know who your challenging. Since you attacked me and didn't know who I was, you can eat your words. I'll be looking for your sorry ass at bike week. Punk!
I used to work in that kitchen, I've also worked in many other kitchens in Salisbury and Ocean City through high school and college and I would have to say that Watermen's was the cleanest. Lee Hastings is a good manager, a good man, and the best boss I ever had.
No it hasnt shut people up, Mr. Albero just doesnt post all the comments. He picks and chooses which ones he wants to post. If he would post them all i'm sure there would be alot more said!!!!!!
I agree. You lost a big fan and daily reader here. I used to think you were objective but you obviously only post the comments that you want so how is that objective?
If I lose a reader based on my giving facts and truth and then even come back with the evidence, I didn't need you in the first place.
Just because I refuse to post a comment that is knowing a lie, you're better off going to the Daily Times and reading what you WANT to hear.
Instead, here you'll get the truth. Argue that all you want, I don't care. This restaurant was NOT running professionally and that's all there is to it.
I should add, there are many others running the same way, mind you. If we get the scoop on it and take it to the Health Department and they follow through finding "everything on the list" was accurate, they too will be exposed to the very same kind of Post.
IF we were irresponsible, we would have Posted this information before we waited for the Health Department to respond. That was NOT the case and we were very fair.
I'll bet its safe to eat there now, wouldn't you agree?
It was safe to eat there before your post. I've been eating there for many years and never had any problem. Lee you keep up the good work and I will see you soon!!!!

Nothing like documented evidence to shut people up. Good work, Mr. Albero.
