Although the GOB is usually cleaned by the County's "General Services Team," Mayor Tilghman refuses to allow them to clean her carpets. Instead, YOU, the taxpayer, are paying for an outside carpet cleaning service to cleans her Office.
Granted, the Mayor's choice of contractor Servpro does excellent work and if I were in their shoes I'd take the contract as well. However, this service is already provided but like I said, Mayor Tilghman refused to allow the County to do so. Once the County learned the Mayor sent a memo stating they were going to do their own work, the County again confronted the Mayor and offered to provide their services and she refused.
One County representative said, maybe she feels we don't do a good enough job? However, it seems to be good enough for the County Executive and the rest of the County Employees. Your tax dollars hard at work.
by using an outsider she'll be able to get her carpet at home done for little or nothing, watch and see.....
ReplyDeleteanon 11:59 You are right on target!
ReplyDeletemayor tilghman better use it while she can...cause her time is coming to an end...
ReplyDeleteI don't think she is housebroken yet. She should switch to hardwood or laminate....
ReplyDeleteAnd Cathcart has the nerve to whine about the county putting out for duplicated services. What they offer the city won't except, so that's tough, let her eat cake. I could use another term to describe what she can eat, you have an imagination, wing it.
ReplyDeleteShe is the mayor of a town in a very small state, she is not the Empress of the Hapsburg Empire. If Servpro is her personal choice apart from what is standard for her elected position, then the payment comes from her personal money.
ReplyDeletethis is yet another outrage!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL I didnt even read the artical yet but the headline just cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteYes, she is to good for the county so why the hell doesn't she just pack up and move west of the Chesapeake with the rest of the crooks and liars?
ReplyDeleteOnce she is out of office citizens that see her on the street can finally say how they really feel without fear of retaliation. Just imagine her in the Mall and someone calling her POS in front of everyone, it may bring a standing ovation.
ReplyDeleteIt's nasty here I don't expect her to stay, she'd never be able to leave the house.
