A Concerned Viewer Writes In

Joe:

I'm watching the City Council meeting that just transpired. . .and I want you to know that I THANK GOD I DON'T OWN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF SALISBURY!

With the exception of Campbell and Cohen. . . every single one of BPT administration should be fired including John Pick.

Louise Smith who campaigned on accountability . . .and then votes against firming up an audit date is about as hypocritical as one can get. She should go also!!! To stand up and try amd award a 'cherry picked' audit to only one firm without at least soliciting a minimum of three bids is unexcusable and is atrocious to the taxpaying public. Moreover, the similar scenario exist regarding the RFP for the City's sewer/water capital improvement whereby engineering work in the RFP doesn't address recent problems at the Naylor Mill Road/ Parkside sewer pumping stations.

What a fiasco. Also, I remember during a blog some time ago where you commented on the lousy service at Burger King on Naylor Mill Road. . . that I emailed you about the stinking sewer pumping station on the corner of DP&L and I noted in my email that I thought something was very wrong with the equipment because of the stench being emitted.

THIS TOWN AND THE ADMINISTRATION IS MORE CORRUPT THAN ANY SOPRANOS SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN!!!!

My advise . . . STAY AWAY FROM SALISBURY!!!!

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!! I'M COPYING ALL OF MY RELATIVES REGARDING THE LATEST SCANDAL.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER!!!!! I HAVE NEVER WITNESSED SUCH CORRUPTION IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!

  1. Hey, Concerned Viewer...that was only a recess! It's not over!

Right now, Paul Wilber and Gary Comegys are talking about why the mayor won't stick to her own budget, why the council majority is GOING to force a "program level budget."

If you think you're pi$$ed now, tune back in.

And thank you for mentioning the specific disgrace that is Louise Smith. Her fine-toothed comb has no teeth at all.

  2. Am also hearing from business owners in the City that they are completely fed up with Barrie's failure to properly administer this City. Many City homeowners whom I know personally are vacating the City as well as renters who are seeing first-hand the tax and water/sewer increases passed onto them in increased rent.

Barrie's mismanagement of the City is only the latest in her string of prior fiascos--everything she touches becomes a quagmire. Ask those who know her history.......

  3. The only corruption that comes close is that of Pocomoke.

  4. That Pat Hannon guy was good. Watching the public hearing now.

Believe it or not, kind of a good way to come down from an active weekend, although I think my blood pressure went up just sitting on the couch watching this stuff.

What the hell is the matter with those people?

  5. I find the hyperbole of this writer amusing. "I HAVE NEVER WITNESSED SUCH CORRUPTION IN MY ENTIRE LIFE." He must not have lived a very long life then! All he need do is read about Pocomoke City in the excerpt that follows his; then he will see corruption! Salisbury does have its share of problems, but I wouldn't put them on the level he has.

  6. This Council and the mayor, if she acurately be called one, is a circus. Just picture Comegys, Shannie, Louise, and the Mayor all getting out of a clown car together, bumbling straight into the meeting...

  7. Did you catch Cathcart -- by moving to Salisbury she has deprived some other village of its idiot! And then there's her husband!

  8. Joe:

Please find out and tell us how/where that Lore Chambers gets the $$$ for the clothes and shoes that she wears.

  9. I cant believe I actually took a Saturday night to watch these poor souls on PAC 14. Cathcart should have just stayed in her seat and kept her mouth shut. What she had to say was worthless and a waste of peoples time.
Weasel - that's another fiasco in the making! How does she maintain her position on the Council?
Voting time cannot come soon enough -

  10. She just got an $8000 a year raise. Her raise is equal to 1/3 of what many city workers get for the whole year.

  11. John Pick, wise up--Barrie has a plan with Chambers.....and you're not a part of it. Hope you've dusted off your c.v.
