Location: 900 Block Mohawk Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: 1. Gary Lee Sheppard, 47, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: 4 April 2008, shortly after midnight, a deputy from the WCSO
was checking a vacant residence on Mohawk Avenue in Salisbury that had
been burglarized in the recent past. While the deputy checked the exterior
of the residence, he was able to look through a window and observe a male
subject inside the residence. That subject was later identified as Gary
Lee Sheppard. The deputy was able to get into the residence and detain
Sheppard and the rest of the residence was searched further once other

owner of the property it was determined that neither Sheppard nor Moss had
permission to be in the residence and had in fact forced entry.
Further search of the room where the subjects were hiding revealed a pipe
used to smoke cocaine.
Both Sheppard and Moss were arrested and transported to the Wicomico
County Central Booking Unit at the Detention Center where they were taken
before the District Court Commissioner. Sheppard was held at the Detention
Center on $15,000 bond while Moss was held on $10,000 bond.
Released to their guardians, what a joke. The primary reason there are so many little hoodlums running the street is because they have no guardian ship.
ReplyDeleteMaryland Juvenile (lack of) Justice is a HUGE failure. Does anybody think for one moment that the delinquents arrested in this case will not re-offend while awaiting DJJ action.
That warehouse DJJ built on Naylor Mill Rd., is a monument to Md's Dept of Juvenile Justice and their flawed system. Why you and I even paid $250.000 plus to put a real wood floor in the INDOOR basket ball court. How do you like them apples Mr/Mrs Taxpayer.
theres a REAL wooden floor in the juvie center?? r u kidding me.........we dont even get REAL wood in our public schools
ReplyDeleteThe system has got to start making the guardians responsible for the actions of these assholes period! Then maybe we can see some improvement.
ReplyDeleteI have never walked in the shoes of these parents and never want to, but remember the old saying "Until you have walked in that persons shoes be careful what you say."
ReplyDeleteAnon 1258 don't take my word for it call any of our Lower Shore Legislatures and ask them.
ReplyDeleteThere is such a HUGE percentage of today's population that has no clue what cops are up against with modern day juvies.
ReplyDeleteSo many kids today have no idea who their father is, hell, their mother may not even know. The kids literally raise themselves. There is no parenting going on in way too many houses. Kids walk the streets all hours of the day and night, they do not respect themselves or others.
Watch the crap they are exposed to on TV and then ask your self why they are like they are. My God! so many delinquents birth people are bigger criminal's than the kids are.Where do you thing they learn to be the way they are.
I am here to tell you folks the drug war is over and we have lost.
If you think I am full of S---about this you print this out and revisit it in 10 yrs and then tell me I was wrong.
Oh! Anon 1258 I forgot the best part about the juvie jail on Naylor Mill. Not only do they have a indoor basket ball court with a REAL wood floor, the State put in real porcelain fixtures.
ReplyDeleteWhen you ask your local elected delegate or senator about this also ask them how much it cost per meal to feed the little heathens-vs-the cost at the Detention Ctr.
The Afro-Americans as a whole have no moals, no interest in a career just do enough to get by and enjoy life at somebody's elses expense. The parents are on welfare, drugs, etc, and it goes on and on in a cycle. Most of the prisoners in our jails are Black because they committ the crimes. They think the world owes them a living. They want everything that everybody else has without working for it. They want recognition because they are Black. The Mexicans, Orientals etc.,all would like the same. I'm white so stand up and applaud me too. This is becoming BULLSHIT.
ReplyDeleteSome parents really try to control their children. When corrected, some children threaten the parents with Social Services intervention and punishment for the parent who is trying to do right. Keep the dam government out of it. A smack on the backside when a child is young and naughty will not hurt his self-esteem but will make him respect the parent and become a better adult someday.
ReplyDeleteI am with you ANON 2:00, I love hearing that black people can't get ahead. Well how did all these black people we hear about everyday like Oprah, Condaleeza Rich, Colin Powell, countless number of fortune 500 CEO that are black and many coming from nothing, Oprah came from nothing was abused as a kid and she is thee richest black woman in the WORLD. I too am white and am not a racist because I have black friends who think the same way I do and are embarassed by the way some act. I have traced my family origin in the past and my family never owned a single slave, so I don't owe anyone anything. They need to get off their asses and get jobs and stop taking the easy way out and selling drugs or worse selling themselves for money.
