Dad Confronts Warren On Student Loan Forgiveness: ‘Can I Have My Money Back?’

The father of a college student was seen confronting Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren about her plan to cancel student loan debt in a video that went viral earlier this week.

The dad chastised Warren over her plan, and got especially heated after the senator and 2020 presidential candidate told him he could not get the money back that he saved to pay for his daughter’s school.

“My daughter is in school. I saved all my money. Am I gonna get my money back?” the dad asked.

  1. No, you're not. Quit crying. I already paid off my student loans and I don't want future generations to have to struggle with predatory lending like I did. That's the point - make things better for the future, build a better world for our children and their children.

    1. No,it's rewarding irresponsible behavior and interfering with free market forces. Make colleges and universities responsible for bad loans and the issue of skyhigh tuition will evaporate overnight.

  3. I feel the same way. I struggled to pay cash for my daughter college. I did without so she wouldn’t be in debt.

  4. Colleges/universities tuitions have outpaced inflation each year for the past twenty one years. They are grossly top heavy with administrators and obscene perks for the elite at the top.

  6. I don't even have a kid in college however, this sounds exactly like the "housing market relief plan." Those of us who had jobs and got small houses so that we could afford them then had to watch the government bail out the ones who had no job and yet moved into a 6 bedroom, 7 bath house. They knew that they couldn't afford the payments. So those of us who stayed in a small house and paid off our mortgages got screwed in much the same way.

  9. always follow the money.. the only reason for warren and her crew to want student loan debt relief is because they have assumed the loans and this is how they are going to get paid.. with our money!!!! they will reap unbelievable gains.

  11. I will never forget the sneer Warren gave this father when he approached her on this like she could just care less. He and his situation meant nothing to her and neither do her Dem Followers, remember what ever she's smoking she even claimed to be a Cherokee Indian she's like Teflon everything rolls off her.

  12. The retroactive payback for those who graduated over the past 50 or so years would be expected as well.
