Maryland Police Shoot and Kill a 61-Year-Old Man While Trying to Serve a “Red Flag” Order — Officials Say It Is “a Sign” the Law is Needed

Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

Republican lawmakers led by Sen. Lindsey Graham and his cohorts are discussing new “red flag” laws to take guns from “unstable” individuals.

Last November a 61-year-old Maryland man was shot dead while police were trying to serve him a “red flag” order.

The local officials said it was a sign the law is needed.

There’s more…
The police arrived at his house at 5 AM.
The old man had a gun in his hand and was shot dead!

  3. If someone came pounding on my door at 5:00 a.m. in the morning I might answer the door with a gun too! That early in the morning to serve a " Red Flag Warning "? It's still dark at that time of the morning!

    1. I had Wicomico County Deputies bang on my door at 430 am....knocking down an antique clock.....smashing on the floor

they all had their guns out....threatening to shoot my family dog who was in the house with me BARKING AT THEIR ANTICS..

THIS WAS IN RESPONSE TO A FAKE RESTRAINING ORDER FILED BY MY PRESCRIPTION OPIATE DEPENDENT X WIFE WHO WAS BANGING LOCAL DOCTORS FOR MORE OPIATES

I armed myself....calling a FBI friend in Missouri....
he told me not to answer the door....

while the deputies were making a scene in my neighborhood about breaking in and shooting my dog....
eventually, those cowboy Wicomico County Deputies left my home...

I had the case dimissed....but these local cops are trigger happy

  4. Respect the person, not the group. Majority of these police will obey any command given. Regardless of how it affects its citizens, that they are supposed to protect and serve.

  5. I feel the cops should be protecting the second amendment not stomping on it. Remember that oath you took. Disarming citizens without due process is never a good sign.

    1. Seeing how my hands are very useful I could easily disarm the person without a shot being fired. Thank you.

  8. One example of how "red flag" will be counter productive and the start of gun confiscation. I want to know all the facts . You come knocking on my door at 5am in this day in time you will met with either a shotgun or large caliber handgun. If you are Law Enforcement then you treat me with respect and not in a hostile manner then see what happens. You act like a "bully" and are hostile you will get what you are asking for at 5am in the morning.

  10. All I can say is call your Congressman and let them know how you feel. You definitely don't want the Dems in charge of your gun rights.

  11. 8:21 What law did he break? He was at his home at 5 in the morning. Stupid ass police should not have been banking on his door at that hour of morning. This red flag bullshit will get real nasty before it's over. The constitution says I can have my firearms. You come to my house to get mine you better come prepared

Police departments will need an unlimited supply of .... damn, I can't even think of a word to describe a lowlife that would execute such a nazi like demand.

  13. First thing: 61 does not make him an old man. Secondly, why 5 am??? Were they trying to surprise him? If I sense someone outside my house at 5 am, damn straight I'm locked and loaded. This definitely didn't need to end this way and it appears that much of the blame lies on the commander of this operation.

  14. AGAIN. MSP are NOTHING more than kids of politicians, judges, and businessmen. All the ones who couldn't FIGHT their way through a girl scouts convention. I saw one the other day who couldn't get a tighter uniform if you painted it on. If he Bent over he'd rip his pants. Mamy more qualified applicants who don't have political influence on EVERY small town or county police department's.
